Don't waste your time or money shopping at Clawson Aldi, go to Warren or Sterling Heights, as I do now, both provide excellent customer service, cleaner, organized with a lot more fresher fruits and vegetables and meats! Without a doubt Clawson Aldi is a hot mess, chaotic and not well stocked with the most rudest employees! Exactly why I only will give Clawson Aldi a 1 star rating. The outside cement areas adjacent to the windows where the carts are stored, are loaded with trash, on both sides. There's actually a rat trap black box in front of the store, on the east side, with a rats face you can see in the hole of the box! Eww! The inside entrance lobby is absolutely filthy, lots of trash on the mat and dust everywhere! The lobby area, I guarantee, hasn't been cleaned in 6 months or longer, hands down! The stand that holds the flyers is almost broken, falling down, wobbly with inches thick of dust on the bottom and the windows are filthy too!! I'm very confused on all the higher rating stars by customers. So be it! I find this to be the worst Aldi I have ever been in!! Never again! I bought, multiple, multiple times, bagged lettuce, spinach, ready made salads, bags of mandarins, tomatoes, apples and the list goes on...all had moderate to higher rotted fruit or vegetables inside the bags!! I have also bought meat that was spoiled, ew! The bananas are often rotted laying in boxes. I'm confused why every other large store chains always have they're bananas out of the boxes laying on floating shelves to prevent rotting, the way bananas should be displayed! This seems like a no brainer, but Aldi can't seem to figure this out? Some of the younger employees are friendly and helpful (the only reason why I gave a 1 star rating) but there's more than a few that certainly need to be better trained on how to provide excellent and respectful customer service. I asked a semi-older woman, with a little shorter than shoulder length reddish brown hair, a question, and she answered me so rudely while walking away from me! OMG, with no smile, always a miserable look on her face, and a very bad attitude! I will never step foot in Clawson Aldi...
Read moreOne of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
Their power went out and they kicked everyone out like it was a dive bar at 2:15am.
We spent an hour shopping, checked out, and their power went out before we could pay.
They said, “this happens all of the time, it’s not gonna come back on!” Oh really? You know that for a fact?!
So instead of letting us wait 15 minutes to see if it would come back on… They forced us to empty our bags and abandon our groceries.
They were extremely rude about it too… “Get out!”
Hey, to whomever owns this place, you’re ignorant. Get a generator. And a clue.
Also, hire a new stuff. One that knows how to deal with situations in a professional and courteous manner.
I’ll make sure my family and friends never shop here or at any other Aldi again.
Trust me, they won’t want to after they hear this! Remember, “it happens all of...
Read moreBeen going here for years and while the enlarged and updated layout is great - the store seems to often lack on stock that i.e. the store on Big Beaver in Troy often does carry. It is fairly typical these days to find certain items out of stock, or for the special sales section to be a bit disorganized or lacking in certain items that another store may still have. Some of the produce like bananas in particular are often pretty banged up or over ripe which I'm not sure if that's more of an Aldi thing than a store specific thing as I've noticed the same issue at other stores. On the plus side the personnel here seems to have been around for a while, is helpful and the usual Aldi fast when...
