Dear Melissa Russell, Today while "doing your job" you threatened to call the cops on me and search my items. To be fair perhaps on a Sunday I was dressed more casually than my usual business attire, perhaps you thought it was okay to stereotype me as a young hooligan. In reality I'm a twenty five year old professional .But today I was just a young woman grocery shopping with my brother. We were originally asked to pick up some items by our father (see I'm in town visiting my parents) which we had to put back since he called us and said he would be going by the grocery store anyway. Not wanting to leave empty handed I decided a cat toy for my new cat, some glue for a painting I'm working on, and a singing monkey key chain for my friend's birthday were enough. When you rudely harassed and threatened me and my younger brother at the checkout, I didn't know what to think. This store has been the store my family has come to since it was built, we had just moved to the area when it finally began construction. My friends have had jobs here, I've bought countless groceries for the week or for parties and to be humiliated in my home town... I simply can't fathom what made you believe this was acceptable behavior. Maybe you could tell when I demanded you search my bag from the brand new chrome book, the tablet, the clothes and my wallet - that I didn't need to steal $0.89 worth of candy. And after all that - no apology for targeting me and my brother? Even once you confirmed we were not thieves? For anyone with a shred of dignity and honor, whose momma raised them right, and who works hard for the money they have this experience would be considered unforgivable. Just the smallest amount of human decency in the face of your mistake would have made all the difference. I hope that even if this upsets you, you are more polite to your customers in the future and don't make judgments based on...
Read moreWent in today to get groceries and I assumed that since you are a grocery store I could get my shopping done. No such luck! The meat case was totally empty!! I asked one of your employees and she said they are cleaning the cases. Why is this not done at night so when you are OPEN you can accommodate your customers?? No need to continue on, you lost money and a customer!
So later in the day I went to your newer store at Hwy 42 & 50. Tons of shoppers in the store. When I went to check out there was just 1 full service lane opened out of 6. The lady being checked out had 3 full grocery carts filled to the brim, so I and other shoppers were forced to use self service. Why was there not some management to see what was going on and open another lane?? And no one seems to care. You had plenty of workers there. 2 employees stocking the shelves in the international isle who seemed quite annoyed that I was in there way, I know they were annoyed as I heard their conversation with each other, and never bothered to move aside so I could select a jar of butter chicken simmering sauce.
Why is it that you have no interest in...
Read moreJust visited this location today 3/2/2021 and was impressed enough from the 20 minutes I was in there to write this review. Immediately walking in the door I noticed the place was very clean. I went over towards the deli area and saw an employee checking the temperature of the hot bar. I'm a big girl that's been in many grocery stores before and I can't ever recall seeing an employee checking the temp, so that was cool to see. Went to the produce section and it was completely stocked, looked great and the produce was on point. Saw an employee bend down to pick up a veggie on the ground and if you're reading this and don't understand the importance of that then just keep it moving. Overall, this location is clean and has friendly staff. I'm not a "Karen" but I did make sure to let the managers know it's a well oiled machine. From someone who used to work in a grocery store, restaurants, and customer service--I had to leave a review and show some love to the local Food Lion....
