I will start off by saying that Donna was really helpful when helping me find my wedding dress, the actions afterwards kind of negates the services she provided. WHEN SEARCHING FOR YOUR WEDDING DRESS BE 100% SURE YOU WANT YOUR DRESS FROM ATHENA's!!! My wedding was on March 19, 2016. I started early on the quest to find my wedding dress. After several places I had gone to I found a dress at Athena's in February of 2015. There was a truck show going on, so in order to lock in my price I have the required $200 deposit. Nothing was ordered, I had not been measured the deposit was simply to lock in the price. On the receipt it states that there are NO REFUNDS, NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Which I totally understand. Then it also states on the receipt that all layaway deposits are non refundable and can ONLY be used towards the purchase of another bridal gown. (I believe that policy should be changed) any way, I say all that to say I found another wedding gown that I absolutely FELL IN LOVE WITH!!! I called Athena's about my options for the $200 (since I don't have $200 to waste). They offered to allow me to get a head piece which cost me $115. On the receipt it stated there was a $76 credit. When it came down to the last $76 I found a flower girl dress that was $75 at Athena's because I was under the impression that I would use the $76 towards something else. They gave me a hard time. I had to go back and forth with Donna and the owner of the store who never came out to address me in reference to using the money towards that flower girl dress. Eventually after going round for round with them, they allowed me to get the dress and pay the difference. I understand that people get engaged and break up and weddings are CXL'd.; but if a dress has not been ordered and your money is sitting there you should at least be given a NO HASSLE store credit. People don't have money to just give away!!!! Thanks Athena's but...

Athena’s Bridal is absolutely TOP NOTCH. I was looking for a place to go with my mother and nana to try on dresses before I went back to Alabama and they got me right in and made me feel special, listened to, and confident throughout the entire process. Every single person who works at this shop treat the brides like family. Michelle has done an absolutely amazing job surrounding herself with a team that truely cares about their brides.

They helped me find the perfect dress my first time in the shop. They know what works for everyone and have a selection of dresses made for everyone. I truly felt beautiful during my dress. They also helped me with the perfect belt and a veil that goes beyond what I could have ever dreamed up. They accommodated me living in a different state and worked with me easily over the phone through the process.

They were always beyond helpful and made time for any and everything a bride could need! They helped dress my ENTIRE bridal party. Their selection of bridesmaid dresses are amazing and the color variety is wonderful. I actually chose my wedding colors based on an amazing dress they put my best friend in. They fit, ordered, and altered all my bridesmaid dresses and updated us on the process from beginning to end.

They also took special care of my mother and Nana. They have a wide variety of Mother of the Bride dresses and found the perfect fits for both of them. They altered them perfectly and were intent on perfection.

Being an Athena’s bride truly means you’re becoming part of the family. They get to know you, they recognize you when you call, they ask about your special day, and cater to every need you could want. My wedding was perfection and it all started at Athena’s.

I spent the entire weekend searching for a dress (with friends and family) and after 4 bridal shops and 30+ I was tired and a bit discouraged. I went to one bridal shop after work one day, solo, and found the first dress I actually loved. Although it was super short on me and in the wrong color, I still loved it so much that I called the next day to make an appointment to come back in with a couple friends before purchasing. The lady at this particular shop (NOT Athena's) was anything but pleasant and wouldn't listen to my needs so I decided to look up on the designer's website in search for other shops with that exact dress. That is how I found out about Athena's!

I immediately called Athena's and was told they had the dress I was looking for - and in the color I wanted. I explained my situation to Gina - I just wanted to come in with a few friends to try on just that dress. I told her that the earliest we could be there would be 5:30PM that same day. She advised me that they close at 6:00PM but would be more than happy to accommodate.

As soon as we got there, we were happily greeted. Donna pulled the dress and helped me get it on. She was very helpful and friendly. After about 5 minutes in the dress taking pictures and trying on veils I knew this was the dress I had to have - so I placed the order!

I am so fortunate that the other place (again, NOT Athena's) was rude and rubbed me the wrong way because I don't think I could of had a better experience any where else. Gina and Donna were beyond fabulous! I am so happy that they were accommodating and took the time to make my experience easy and wonderful. I am looking forward to going back in search of...
