Minneola Trailhead Park — Attraction in Minneola

Love the trail, but when Clermont has an event they shouldn't block the trail for anyone that's just there to enjoy the ride,walk etc.. and are not participating in there event. Was trying to put in my weekly 14 mile ride and the whole lane was blocked for a race. Some still insist on riding in the road when they have a beautiful trail that goes for miles until they have an event, then they think they own the whole path. Makes me sad because where I live in Leesburg they won't clean the trail of drugs, trash glass on the path and people harassing you when you are trying to ride/walk, it's not safe. So i have to load my bike and drive to Clermont every week to ride when a trail is not more than 2/3 blocks from my house and i could ride every day after work if...

Was disappointed balloons could not go up tonight wind was too high for them. So i left at 630 they said they could not go after 7 and it was still on hold. Had some vendors jewelry home made soap and food vendors. I understand the need fo safety with the balloons just wished i had picked another night to go. Still want to ride but interested in a free range ride not tethered. I see the green balloon all the time where i live as i walk my dog. Sorry i did not get pictures cause they were never inflated. The trail actually is up a hill from the parking lot. This is a nice not over crowded place to park and access the Lake County Trail. It has restrooms that are usually open and a water fountain. We didn't try them on this ride through, but we did stop at the "station" up on the trail. It is a small covered facility with a bike repair stand and places to sit with a nice view of the park below. We sat and enjoyed the view, a cooling breeze and a snack before continuing on.
