Unfortunately, I did not receive good quality service. I typically don’t write reviews, but for the price paid and lack of quality service received, it needs to be said.

I booked for a first time client silk press (includes consultation, shampoo, deep condition, trim, blow dry and press) and added on a protein treatment with Charise. While being worked on, she did not interact beyond a greeting. I’m not sure where the consultation came in, because I was not told what was being done as it was being done unless I asked. I wasn’t asked my desired style nor questioned about my hair care concerns, if any. After my protein treatment I was supposed to receive a deep condition which I did not receive (she neglected to mention she combined them which is not traditionally done). After she went straight into blow drying from there. The service felt rushed.

The final result of the style was disappointing. The silk press resembled a flat bump and curl and my hair didn’t feel fully straightened. The trim I received was uneven (she didn’t check as she went along, just chopped away), so I now have to go to a competent stylist to rectify that concern. There just was no effort put into it and it wasn’t a good feeling being in the styling chair as a client who rarely gets silk presses and was looking forward to this experience. Hair is such a sacred thing to entrust a stranger with, so when with a stylist you should feel relaxed and comfortable in their hands. I did not have that feeling. She needs to improve on her customer service skills and etiquette with clientele. Overall, it was very unprofessional and I am disappointed and unsatisfied with the results/experience. I had a horrible experience with the stylist Michell (Chell). I made an appointment three weeks in advance she texted me 3 hours before my appointment saying could I come within the next hour or so, I proceeded to let her know I had clients myself and could not come at that time she mentioned but I could come an hour earlier at the time I originally booked for. She didn’t answer to me asking about coming in early so I reached back out to her to ask if that was okay she was rude and inconsiderate saying “I said okay meaning come at that time”, when I was only doing her a favor. I arrive to the shop only for her not to be inside. I waited until she decided to come in moments later. She was on the phone and arrived with an attitude. She asked me what style I wanted and I showed her a picture and said I wanted it exactly like the picture from the side she has her part on to it been straightened. She then proceeded to say it doesn’t matter how the picture is how do you want it.... confused I showed her the picture again.... she then proceeded to say “I’m not doing your hair I don’t like your energy” .....? I was baffled because I don’t know if she was having a bad day or in her feelings or what but this experience was a COMPLETE waste of time. I had a photoshoot the next day, and a plane to catch that evening. The owner charise was there the whole time and proceeded to laugh, I don’t know if this was a joke or what. Called for hair appointment today. Cut the relaxer out of my hair a few months ago. When my hair is silk pressed it lies at my cheekbone. Wanted to try this stylist Charise that was recommended for natural hair. When speaking to her she told me to send a picture and I did. I was told I had to get a relaxer and if she did my hair I would look like an old grandma, she was rude, obnoxious and disrespectful. She went off of a picture saying I have no shape. Well, you are the stylist and there are plenty of short styles for natural hair. However, this generation is not as skilled as the older generation. I then said okay maybe I will try my old stylist just wanted to go somewhere that my sister recommended for me…..before I could finish she hung up in my face. I am a minister, mother and nurse….when I tell you she is rude, believe it! These kids nowadays are disrespectful and ignorant. Do not spend your money...
