Stopped in with my lil sister she was getting a gel toe polish change French tip and I was getting my regular toe polish change I’m allergic to gel and acrylic. I have been going to square one on Cedar for years (they are great but always busy) I had lived on Green Rd for 6 years so when I found out about this square one on Green Rd I was excited! Well I don’t recommend going there. The lady that runs the place…you will know who she is she greets everyone and is like the manager. She is rude and unprofessional. My sister was not satisfied with her toe polish instead of the lady listening to me or hearing her out she wanted to be confrontational and argue with me. My sister is 19, she doesn’t speak up for herself. I could tell by her face she wasn’t happy even tho she was telling me that she was. The guy that was doing her feet didn’t understand her I guess but he’s new. So she stepped in. The issue was that he was rough and her French tip was only done on four of her toenails and not her picky toe nail because it was small. The lady wanted to argue talking about he is a professional and we aren’t so she trust his decision. True enough but The thing is my sister gets her toes done twice a month and has no problem getting it polished!
I say all that say Don’t go here! Don’t recommend and the overall experience was highly disappointing! The situation was blown out of control because she refuse to listen to the customer. She doesn’t care about her customers especially not African American ones. Even if you get regular polish there is an issue and she will have something to say about it! She is sarcastic and doesn’t believe in making sure everything is ok with you the customer! Go to any of the other locations except this Square One or find somewhere else to go. Read moreLet me start by saying I would rather wear Ugg boots all summer than return to Square One Nails for a toe polish change. I pass by Square One Nails & Spa daily since it's near my house, and yesterday I decided to try it for a quick gel polish change on my toes. It was anything but quick. Upon arrival, I was greeted and told there was no wait, which thrilled me! However, an older man did my polish change, and what I expected to be a 30-minute service took an hour and 15 minutes! I couldn’t believe it.
In addition to the time it took, he filed my big toe nail so far down that he broke the skin on top (pictured), making the rest of the service extremely uncomfortable as it burned when he used certain products (and it’s still burning now). I also got my signature white toe polish, and it looks like a child did it, so streaky and uneven. Due to the language barrier, I couldn't communicate my dissatisfaction.
I was also uncomfortable sharing my feelings with the nail tech who checked me in, who I believe is the owner. While I was receiving my service, she was yelling at another customer. I couldn't believe the things she was saying, such as, "Don’t tell me how to do my job," "I don’t need your money," and "I know how to do nails. If I didn’t know how to do nails I wouldn’t have people wait three hours for me to do their nails." I felt embarrassed for the customer and wanted to stand up for her, but I just minded my business.
All this to say, I will not be returning to Square One...
Read moreHorrible service. I came into town and needed to relax. I booked for two pedicures and a dip lowder full set. Both of our water was cold. We complained multiple times and it was uncomfortable and they did nothing. We should have got up and left then but I knew that that would have just been rude. The person doing my nails didn't speak English nor did he understand what I was asking him. Typically that would not be an issue if they do a good job you can trust that the person knows what they're doing. They did not clean the dead skin around my nails good at all I had to ask for the tools myself to show him. All of my toe nail shapes are different. Some square some round. And the way my toes were previously they are all hard squares. They also put the hot towel around my friend too soon and it hurt her. My pedicure was $81 each and it was a horrible experience so much so that I did not want to get my finger nails done. I came here to relax and get my nails done and I ended up feeling like it was a total waste of time. The manager came over and repetitively said she was sorry and that the man doesn't speak English and she hopes that I enjoy the rest of my vacation but did not give me a discount on my bill or offer to...
