Horrible experience! BUYER CHECK EXPIRATION DATE ON ALL FOOD!
I went once and found good deals on Christmas pillows so I came back the next day to see what else i could find. I found some breakfast bars 75% off and purchased them thinking it was an excellent deal. Walked to my car and looked at the expiration date and noticed they expired 2 months ago. Walked RIGHT back in within 2 minutes and was told the machine won't register a return that quickly but if I waited a couple minutes and maybe looked around i could get a refund or do an exchange. I decided to find something to exchange it with while I waited. I had to go to a different cashier due to the lengthy line and was told by this particular cashier that they do not do returns on 75% off items. I said I was just about to get the refund from the other girl but had to wait on the system update. Long story short the manager said the reason it's 75% off is bc its expired. I told her there is no way for a customer to know that when there's no sign stating these items are 75 % off bc they are expired! You don't go to a store assuming you have to read the expiration date... Lastly their refund policy on the receipt simply says they will refund you and says nothing about unless the item is 75% off. To me that makes this store a scam! After going back and forth the manager did refund me as she said this is a one time thing but I have to say that cashier was SO rude, obnoxious and had no customer service skills. She definitely needs some extra training and education on her job....
Read moreIt was OK. The book section is nice and the children's books are very inexpensive. The grocery section is hit n miss. The paper plate section is a little cheaper than at Tuesday Morning. The toys are the same as you would get on sale anywhere else. The sporting goods section has good prices for the same stuff you find at Academy. The seasonal items are not that inexpensive, you can get them cheaper at Home Depot or Lowe's on sale. The bedding and pillow section is not great. The candy section is not that inexpensive.... I paid $4.99 for a small package of Dove dark chocolate candy. I started to put them back, but didn't. I know they're cheaper than that on sale at Walgreens. The kitchen goods section was not great, they only carry the aluminum frying pans, and the prices are not that cheap! Overall, I prefer shopping at Tuesday Morning or Burkes Outlet better. I did see a small moth flying around the store when I was shopping near the food section, which is not good. They lay eggs and then you carry them home and have an infestation that is hard to get rid of. The lady at the check out was very very nice and welcoming and gave me lots of good information on upcoming...
Read moreI've been seeing Ollie's for a while now so recently I decided to pop into the store and I loved it. They have a little of everything. Such seasonings, carpet, socks, fishing accessories, books, kitchen appliances, a public restroom, household products and good plus so much more. For example if you are a homeschooling parent there's lot of learning material at discounted rates. If you like to read they have everything from the bible, to gardening up to business magazines. Also, there is a military discount every 1st Tuesday of the month. Then as an Ollie's member which is free you get incentives such as discounts on one item after you've accumulated a certain amount of points. Overall I believe it's worth stopping in the store to see if there is anything...
