I had to go to a Verizon store to get a SIM card replacement. When I went into this one, I told the guy who said he was the store manager what the issue was and that I needed a SIM card replacement. Despite telling him this, he told me he wasnât sure why this was happening, and had me go through basic troubleshooting steps. Instead of helping me with this simple issue, they erased my network settings without telling me what they were doing, so now I have to reacquire all the wifi passwords I use. Then after all this he refused to replace my SIM card, and instead made a suggestion that wouldnât have worked for my situation.
I donât know if he was being stubborn or if he actually thought he was unable to help me, but at least he wasnât out right rude to me, which is why they get 2 stars instead of 1. I went to the Verizon Store in Fairview park afterward, and they got me in and out in just a few minutes with a replaced SIM card. I highly recommend that anyone who needs to go to Verizon go to that store instead, even if itâs a little out of the way. I was told by Shon (who apparently no longer works there) that I could add an iphone to my plan for $350 and have the same montly usage rate as all my other phones. When I got my bill the cost of phone was $200 higher and my monthly usage was $5 higher than quoted. I returned to the store and watched Shon fumble around for 30 minutes before telling me that his manager would have to call me back. I never got that call, they refused to discuss the situation over the phone and I had to go back to the store to be told that I'd have to deal with corporate, as they couldn't do anything for me at the store. I spoke to and emailed with corporate for over a week about the situation before being told that they couldn't do anything about it because Shon no longer worked there (probably fired for incompetence) and I couldn't give them any documentation supporting my claim.... which is insane since I never got an email confirmation of a receipt like I was promised by Shon.... just a higher bill the next month from Verizon. My advice... BUY YOUR...
   Read moreKate Mcnamara was my favorite Verizon rep to date. She was a straight up GANGSTAR!! Not only was she ballin with the charger situation but she saved my life with AMAZING DEALS and DOPE WATCH PROGRAMS that I was totally unaware of previously. If I wasnt hanging with my ex girlfriend with a capital X i might have bought more stuff because she was so FRIENDLY.
UPDATE: I went to a couple other stores to buy a charger for my car, and much to my dismay they didn't work with my Google phone. Luckily, I got refunds at each of those locations and even bought myself a big white t-shirt that I plan to wear like a nightie.
Before I gave up all hope, I returned to my favorite Verizon retail location and Kate hooked it up. Now I can text my friends and cook up some wieners in the woods, maybe some...
