Family RC inc — Local services in Clinton Township

I have to echo everyone else's reviews. I purchased two pretty beat up Traxxas Stampedes off of FB market place from a pawn shop, and brought the one in that was acting weird. I can build computers from the ground up, but am new to this level of RC car.

They spent about a half hour going over the car for me, correcting the issues and explaing things. I walked in expecting to spend 100$ or so, maybe a new battery, some tools, and a piece that held down the battery for one car.

I found everything I needed, and purchased a duel battery charger kit for 230$ discounted from 250$. Online the Traxxas 7600mah Lipo batteries are 75$, and the duel charger is 120$. So 270$ would of lined right up with Traxxas direct prices. I didn't see the duel kit on Traxxas's website, but it was factory sealed. Ground shipping is free from Traxxas, but it's 3-8 business days.

I also got a lot of advice on how not to break the more expensive parts like the Trans and Motor.

I don't spend money like that randomly, but they explained what I asked about, and didn't try to upsell at all.

Called and asked if was worth the 150 mile drive one way to go crawling. Missy told me well worth the drive and it was spend 5 hrs there yesterday. Outdoors course was under that white stuff that falls from sky but could tell its as big as inside if not bigger 6 inches of snow hide lots. Also has a short course will have to bring all my cars next time. And ask them something your not sure about if they don't know will help best can. And gave me business cards for other crawler places her compilation not just about there store. And she GAVE ME a purple recovery bungee that was on her personal car cuz they didn't have any. Very nice staff, amazing selection, and lots of options. The track inside and outside are both very nice to test your skills on. They can solder battery leads, have transmitters and receivers, esc, parts galore. And do a lot of enthusiasts frequent this place! I fully recommend this place, even if your not into RC, and wave something fun to do with the kids, here's your destination... If you tell them DMP sent you, they will take care of you. It truly is one of the few small family run businesses in our area, they deserve the support. Stop in for a visit, you won't be disappointed... And whomever left a 4 star review is...
