Very disappointed !! Bought 9 year old daughter GoPro 8 for Christmas from there, she’s been asking for one for over a year now but I didn’t want to buy brand new just in case it ended up being something she wasn’t into after I already bought it. I know nothing about GoPro other than it takes video/pictures so when I looked at it in store and turned it on everything seemed fine and I do not expect something bought at pawnshop to be new like I bought it at Best Buy but I do expect it to at least be in good working order. Christmas morning my 9 year old daughter was pretty upset when we noticed the battery door was broke off and not in the package, she said I will try using it without the door, comes back crying 25 minutes later telling me it don’t work. Fully charged tried using it myself and the thing turns off by itself after about a minute. Spent hours trying to see if it’s something in settings, researching and trying different things but it’s really broken. Told my daughter to relax. I will take it back and get her another one. Went there 12-27-22 @ 11:30 spoke to sales representative that sold it to me and he said no refund only store credit, ok no problem I just want a working GoPro for my daughter. Sales representative said oh ummm we don’t have any more GoPro’s. Ok well give me my money so I can go buy my daughter one that works, sales representative said we can’t give you a refund only store credit !! So you sold me something you guys said worked, I paid what you asked in cash and what you sold me will never work or do what I bought it for and you don’t have another working GoPro that I can get for my daughter with your store credit !! if it wasn’t broke and I was just returning it because I didn’t want it then I can completely understand a store credit, but we can’t use what you sold us because what you sold us is broken. I just want to make my 9 year old daughter happy but I guess $160.00 is way more important to the folks at Cash exchange !!

Part 2 Your website states that you guys are the best and that you warranty all tools and electronics. Nobody ever once told me that I could only get a store credit if my item I buy doesn’t work and there was not a sign that said that either. What good does your store credit do if you do not have another GoPro ? I was told the item was tested and that it worked and that was a lie because if you guys really tested it you would have known it definitely does not work but my 9 year old daughter figured it out in 20 minutes. You are putting money before customer satisfaction but claiming to be the best in metro Detroit . BBB...

I work for a local news publication and had the pleasure of some investigative work yesterday.. I visited this location yesterday 4/23/19 We’ve had many inquiries from readers about selling scrap jewelry locally. (In macomb county) I visited 20 locations yesterday, including pawn brokers or cash for gold locations, with 20 items of scrap gold. Each item 8 to 10g’s of gold and we kept them all 10k for consistency. I was absolutely shocked when the “gentleman” offered $60 even for 9.2 grams of 10 k gold! This was my fourth stop and on the prior stop I had obtained $100 for 8 g for 10 karat gold. At this point I stopped to send a message to the supervising reporter. The money is all going to a local charity and I was afraid to take the amount offered. By far the smallest amount after all 20 stops, but we needed the story and I was quickly told, “yes”! A google search before our endeavor, yesterday stated a rate of $22-26/ g of 10k gold. We had 3 brokers/ jewelers come very close to this rate. We will be reviewing them as well as publishing the results. The Cash Exchange gave us about half of what we obtained almost 19 other times. The slip they gave us was confusing and we thought we may have pawned the item by mistake, justifying the low amount. We called them back to make sure that it was sold for $60. Not pawned and it was, in-fact sold. Customer service also left something to be desired, to say the least. This morning 4/24 our senior reporter reached out for a comment to no avail. No comment, other than words we can’t publish 😊 Had I been someone in a REAL situation, needing cash for my gold, I would’ve probably walked out crying. My comment is.. if your pawing or selling gold, go anywhere...

I hate to leave this review but these guys really disappointed me.. at the dealing with them for at least 8 years they have been decent but now it seems like the economy is tearing us apart and they are taking advantage of that.. I have been pawning my car for at least 8 years with these guys I have counted the interest they have made it's nearly 12 Grand my car they know is worth at least 25k they point out all of the stuff saying car worth little, yet my buddy lost his car they told him it wasn't worth nothing 3k they have it outside for sale for 8K.. they told me they will only give me 4K for a vehicle that I know they will get 20k to 27k for.. so the thing is they don't care about a loyal customer that they may a ton of money off of they want me to take the 4K and hopes that I lose the car so they can save the extra two I wanted that's not fair and that's not decent especially not to a returning customer that I've even pawned several hi end cars and sent people to buy and sell to you guys.. not fair cash exchange I'll take my business elsewhere I don't think you appreciate the cash I've...
