I ordered the Pad Thai, the most original and simple dish at at a Thai Food place. According to their menu this consists of rice noodles, eggs, bean sprouts, and green onions, topped with crushed peanuts. Instead of a meat i got it with veggies. When we arrived back home the dish was made horribly. It was not one bit saucey, there were no green onions (or any onions for that matter), bean sprouts and CRUSHED PEANUTS(which makes ths dish). When i called about this matter the lady on the phone said "the noodles soaked up the sauce"(gave her the bennefit of the doubt on that). She also said "Well you can come back up for the crushed peanuts, thats the best we can do since there WASN'T anything wrong with the dish." OUTLANDISH!! I was unaware no peanuts is the proper way of making Pad Thai. Just a minor note, it's funny how the noodles were still a clear/white color with sauce completly soaked in them. Will never give this place our business again. A waste of $23.53 for pad thai and seafood combo. Btw the combo was just alright. To all who say this is the best thai food, you need to not...
Read moreI eat a lot of thai food from many various restaurants from downtown detroit to pirt huron so I'm rating this place on my experience last week. I would not give the food I had a rating at all if I could. I ordered beef pad Thai and crab Rangoon. The beef pad Thai was OMG awful, the meat tasted like I have eaten rotten meat, it had a weird smell, the taste was something I can't even explain, I wouldn't eat the meat as I was afraid to get sick. I know it was rotten. The crab Rangoon was soaked in grease wasn't crunchy at all. So my recommendation is do yourself a favor don't eat there. I wanted to add after reading some of the reviews that they all say it lots of food is sweet, well have you ever thought they add sweetness to try and cover the taste of the bad meat they give you. Also a few say they are local guides, how this is the greatest food ever, I don't think they have ever eaten good Thai food at least edible in their life. And I'm talking about places with the same price that this place charges,...
Read moreI have been going to this place a lot of the past four years. The first aspect of the place that kept me coming back was how authentic and good tasting the food was. After all, you go to a restaurant for good tasting food. However, the aspect that has continued to surprise me and made me want to write this review is the incredible service I receive every time I walk into the restaurant. Most places have good service most of the time and occasionally will be slacking one day. That is not the case here. Over the past four years I have not had a single bad thing that I could say about Lil Thai Express. To me, that is something worth writing a...
