A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Clinton Township

I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, where there was an A&W drive-in. It was a treat anytime my grandparents would take me, especially since the food and service were both very good. Two days ago was the first time in more than 25 years since my last visit to A&W, and I was pretty excited to get a burger and a shake! I went through the drive-thru and ordered the following items: a double bacon cheeseburger combo meal with fries, a cheese coney, a Pepsi with no ice, and a regular chocolate shake. The ice cream machine was not working, so I couldn’t get a shake. As for the rest of my order, the bun on the double bacon cheeseburger was hard, the burger was missing bacon, and the beef patties were very dry and most likely several hours old; the cheese coney was void of flavor due to its extreme saltiness; the fries were lukewarm; ice was added to my drink despite my request for no ice. When I went back through the drive-thru to ask for my sandwich to be made correctly, the two employees could not understand that they had forgotten to put bacon on the bacon cheeseburger and that I still wanted bacon on it. Once the sandwich was remade, the employee handed it to me and closed the window. No apology, no “have a nice day,” nothing. Short young man took our order. He didn't ask would we like a drink with our order. Bad sales decision. Both stall doors in the ladies room are broken. Ladies room floor was covered in something super sticky. My shoes stuck to floor all the way thru the store. No paper towels in the ladies either. Took our food to go. In the car we checked our food and no sporks for our cole slaw. I went in and got spoons. Now when I asked the young man do we get our own sauces and napkins and extras, he said no the girl getting our food would. When i came bk into store to get spoons i heard the girl say to him "what did I forget now, well s..t! I said nothing and left. His food was awesome. All mine was too except for my pc of fish. It was really fishy tasting and smelling. My bf tasted it and said it was bad. My 2 pcs of 🐔 were great. Cole slaw dry bc they probobly dont know they should stir the slaw before serving since the yummy sauce in the slaw sits on the bottom of the pan. I went through to get my husband and I a root beer float and ordered some hush puppies to go with. He opened the box and asked me if there were hairs on them or if it was just the fatty fibers from being fried. They were hairs, and honestly they looked like cat hairs (not saying there was a cat in there, probably off of someone’s shirt). The lady argued with me and told me they were from the box.
