HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!
We planned weeks in advance and spoke to the owner about what we planned on doing. We were going to have a surprise birthday dinner for an 8 year old. Rudy's set up a long table for 13 girls to celebrate. We got there by 6:30pm and we were met with glares from the owner. The girls were excited but by no way were they loud. Slowly as more girls trickled in, the more upset the owner got. By the time all the girls arrived, the owner approached us and told us they were being "loud" and being "animals". For the record, yes they were talking, yes they were excited, but by NO MEANS were they being ANIMALS!!!!!! How DARE he say these children were animals!!! We were sectioned off to the side of the restaurant with the half wall and there were no one sitting there and it was just us. We had the girls move closer to the half wall so that the birthday girl wouldnt see us as she walked in. That prompted the man to tell us our girls were animals! HOW DARE HE!!!! We were able to surprise the birthday girl but we packed up our bags, and all 13 girls and left the establishment disgusted by the way the man treated us. We did NOTHING WRONG and if they can't handle a surprise party for 13 girls they should have never agreed to it!!! THANK YOU FOR OPENING MY EYES TO SEEING WHAT A HORRENDOUS OWNER TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE MY BUSINESS...
Read moreI highly do NOT recommend going to this restaurant. I contracted food poisoning from their careless staff, and their thoughtless actions! I went and bought a slice of pepperoni pizza with garlic bread. However, while baking some pepperoni slices fell off of the pizza. One of the workers thought that replacing the fallen slices with meat that had been uncooked, and left out in 90 degree weather WITHOUT putting the slice back into the oven, would be proper and sanitary. Unfortunately, this particular actions would lead to hours of vomiting and stomach pain. Not only is their staff careless, but they are also rude. I waited 10 minutes for my check, even though I asked countless times for my waiter; and conveyed my dismay telling the rest of the staff that I had to be somewhere very soon. Eventually, a different employee gave me my check and apologized for the wait. Nonetheless, the attitude given by my original waiter was unacceptable! I brushed this incident off as just a mistake; everyone has their bad days. But, when going back a second time for lunch (since Rudy’s is conveniently located near my cram school) I was met with food poisoning and again rude staff! I will NEVER go back to this restaurant, and I sincerely advice from the bottom of my heart that you choose somewhere else to go to. Thank you for reading this, and have a...
Read moreMy teenage son and I really liked the food here. The first time we came here, my son had spaghetti and meatballs. I had the lasagna with meat. The food was really delicious, especially, the tomato sauce, and we totally finished all the food on our plates!
Perla, the nice and friendly lady walking around checking to see if all customers were happy, told us we should come back for the desserts as they are really good. This is a nice place with a family-friendly atmosphere. There were several birthday parties going on in the restaurant when we were there. Also there were 3 cute little girls around 12 or 13 who came alone to eat and one of them ordered for all 3 of them...2 Caesar salads with sauce on the side. They appeared to be regulars at this restaurant.
The second time we came here, my son had the lasagna. I had spaghetti alla vongole (with clams in a white wine sauce). We also had the tartufo for dessert (vanilla and chocolate ice cream shaped into a ball with a cherry in the middle and the entire ice cream ball is encased in a chocolate shell). Everything was delicious and we never have leftovers from meals at this restaurant since we always finish our scrumptious meals here. We also saw the owner.
We will be back to try more of the items...
