Don't count on deliveries from Crave Cookies website! And don't think you'll receive decent or even mediocre customer service!
I ordered a box of cookies last night directly through Crave's website for an anniversary surprise. The order was paid for and picked up by their delivery service. The tracking stayed in limbo to be delivered throughout the next day. It never did.
I emailed & called Crave, same evening, during their business hours before close to check on the status for delivery, no response or answer. I emailed twice the next day, also NO response. I finally was able to talk with a person 22hrs after placing the order. The situation did not improve. After providing my order details I was told by personnel that it was not their problem and to contact the delivery service.. there were no pleasantries or care that it ruined an anniversary surprise delivery. Nor was there any offer to handle the situation and rectify a legitimate wrong. I ordered straight off their website! What else can one do? The conclusion they offered was for me to take the time to contact the delivery company. Which of course meant a wait through 30min on hold. And provided no reason to explain how my order was picked up 17min after I ordered it, and was never delivered. The bottom of the barrel is I was refunded after having to do all the work. Charges included a delivery fee of just under $10, and a 18% tip. I suppose whoever the driver was had a GREAT treat on me!
Crave definitely has probably the best retail cookies in my opinion. But, I have to say their customer service, and lack of insight or care to customers or what is ordered directly through their own website, I was shocked by! I probably would have gotten less frustrated talking to an automated system than the person who gave 0% regard for what happened.
Crumble cookie, though not quite as good, might be a better experience. ...
Read moreI want to share a recent experience my husband and I had at Crave Cookies because, unfortunately, it was one of the worst we’ve encountered. While we’ve generally enjoyed Crave Cookies in the past despite occasional inconsistencies (some cookies have been underbaked or raw in the center), last night was exceptionally disappointing.
We ordered four cookies, and my husband went to pick them up. When he got home, we noticed that two of the cookies were not what we ordered. My husband returned to the shop to address the mistake and explained the situation to the associate. The associate then told him that the cookies we ordered were sold out and that they had substituted them without notifying us.
While substitutions can happen, we feel strongly that we should have been informed of the change—either when placing the order or when picking it up—so we could decide if we wanted the substitutes. When my husband explained that we didn’t want the substituted cookies, the associate offered him the option to pick two other cookies.
However, when my husband received the new box, the situation got worse. The two correct cookies we originally received were now replaced with incorrect ones, leaving us with a box of four entirely wrong cookies. Frustrated by the incompetence of the situation, my husband decided to just bring the cookies home.
When we finally tried them, three of the four cookies were raw in the center—not just underbaked, but so raw we couldn’t eat them. Sadly, we ended up throwing all four cookies away.
We’ve always enjoyed Crave Cookies for their creativity and flavor, but this experience really stood out for all the wrong reasons. The lack of communication, repeated mistakes, and poor quality control completely ruined what should have been a treat. Read moreI placed an order on the crave website on Tuesday October 21st for 100 mini cookies to be delivered for a party on Friday, October 24th. Friday afternoon I received a text confirming the order had been picked up and on its way, the link confirmed the order was delivered, but there was NO delivery. When I called Crave to tell them I hadn't received my order, I was told the order was picked up by DoorDash. The young lady was happy to tell me it wasn't their problem! Did not offer to contact DoorDash, I had to do that. She repeated, they made the cookies, handed them over so not their problem, she was extremely rude, and unprofessional. DoorDash said the dasher cancelled the order, but didn't know why, and had no way of contacting the driver or locating the cookies! I will never order from Crave again! If you offer a delivery service for your product, then you are responsible for the delivery! Only wish their was a zero...
