Drift House — Local services in Cocoa Beach

I cannot say enough positive things about this store. I was first drawn in when I noticed the abundance of surf related goodies whimsically displayed in the windows. From surfboards to skateboards, shoes and hats, to men’s and women’s clothing, there was no way I was passing this place by. I swung in to check out the goods and was immediately greeted with a warm, laid back “how’s it going bro” from the back somewhere. I couldn’t even see anyone but felt immediately welcomed. The mysterious voice then said “feel free to check around and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask”. This no pressure atmosphere is exactly how I like to shop. As I meandered around I was blown away by the plethora of gear in this shop. There were more sunglasses than a sunglass hut, mass amounts of men’s and women’s clothing, backpacks and bags and all well displayed in a fun atmosphere. I glanced around in awe for a while before a gentleman calmly approached and asked if I needed help finding anything in particular. As we got to talking, I was blown away at the depth of knowledge he had of each brand, the materials used, the back history of the companies they sell and how well he pointed me to just what I was looking for. All with a laid back, no pressure vibe. I found my new go to shop for myself and have no doubt I will be able to handle 90% of my Christmas shopping in one place. If spent most of my life in and out of skate shops and have visited skate shops all over the Florida and other states and I have got to say Drift House tops them all. The skate selection is top notch and the shoes/apparel selection is solid too. Best part of the whole experience at Drift House though is the immediate family vibe you get when you walk in. The crew that works here is top notch. From the moment you walk in it doesn’t just feel like a shopping trip. Solid greetings, good conversation, showed my kids the basketball game and how to play it, and even offered me a delicious beer because what dad that’s out shopping with his two kids alone doesn’t need a good beer. I had such a good time hanging out there I went back this time bringing the wife. My only complaint is that after Cocoa beach being my go to get away for my entire adult life i just discovered Drift House. Even if you don’t want to shop this is a must stop place...
