I cannot stress this enough – do NOT stay at La Quinta Inn by Wyndham if you value your safety, cleanliness, and a decent customer service experience. My experience at this establishment was beyond disappointing—it was outright disgusting and terrifying. I am sharing every detail so no one else falls victim to their deceptive practices and lack of accountability. I booked a two-night stay through Expedia before my cruise, fooled by the misleading pictures on their website. What I encountered upon arrival was nothing short of horrifying. From the moment my wife and I arrived, we felt uncomfortable. Suspicious-looking men loitered near the entrance, staring at us in an unsettling way. My wife whispered, "Let's check the room first because this place looks like a dump." That was our first warning sign. I asked the front desk if we could see the room before checking in. The receptionist called a staff member to escort us. As soon as the door opened, we were hit with a foul odor. Inside, we found: Stained walls and dirty floors Unkempt, suspicious-looking beds Broken lights When I asked to take pictures, the staff member shook his head and locked the door. That was enough for us. Feeling unsafe, we returned to the front desk to cancel our reservation. The receptionist refused, insisting that Expedia had to call them. When I contacted Expedia, they tried calling, but the hotel didn't answer—despite me standing right in front of the receptionist, whose phone never rang. We left immediately, booking a much better hotel in Melbourne, FL. After our seven-day cruise, I checked my emails to find Expedia still struggling to get a response from La Quinta. When I called both Expedia and the hotel, I was shocked to hear the hotel had marked me as a "No Show," denying I had ever been there. When I confronted the supervisor, she rudely denied my visit and even hung up on me. The front desk lady had earlier claimed, "I've worked here for 20 years and never stepped into the rooms." That alone tells you how awful this place is. La Quinta lied, refused to refund me, and scammed me out of my money. Expedia, despite initial efforts, ultimately sided with the hotel. This experience has been an absolute nightmare, and I will escalate this issue to La Quinta’s district manager. DO NOT STAY HERE. Filthy and unsafe Rude, dishonest staff No accountability Deceptive booking practices This was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. Stay far, far away.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS FILTHY PLACE!!!! Not even worth 1 star but no choice. Nothing like internet pictures... Save your money by avoiding taking BED BUGS, ROACHES, LICE and INFECTIONS AND INSECTS to your home. This place is absolutely shady and filthy. I made a reservation for a night through Expedia. Check in was okay but at the stairs (no elevator at the property) I could sense this place is dirty but still hoped the room to turn out okay. But gosh - my instincts were right. When I entered the room and turned on lights, I could see the bedding had wrinkles not tucked in which is hospitality 101. Anyways as I started to strip the blanket and bed sheet I saw SEVERAL HAIR STRANDS and STAINS. When I removed the fitted sheet I saw CLUSTER OF STAINES and DIRT on both sides of the bed. On top it all I found a LICE on the blanket. I took the pictures and went to the reception to inform them and discuss an alternate. For my surprise the staff at the reception was NOT AT ALL SURPRIZED she just offered me another room. But before switching the room I went to check the other room and guess what SAME THING - SEVERAL HAIR STRANDS AND STAINS AND DIRT. I told the girl about it and showed pictures, she said either I can choose stay and talk to manager or leave but she can't do anything. I choose to leave because I definitely didn't want to bring any bugs or lice or infections. There was a senior couple behind me who overheard it the conversation and decided to not to check -in at this filthy property. I informed Expedia about the issue right away and shared all the proofs I had. They got back to me stating property manager isn't responding and Expedia can't override the hotel policies. This is frustrating when Expedia come back with no resolution and property manager went unresponsive. Anyways today only I received the refund after fighting for 3 weeks when it should have done the next day or day after. But here's my experience that I wanted to share so that others don't get fool and are aware of what they are stepping into.

Very unorganized and crowded. Not worth the money and expect to pay a large amount of hotel taxes and fees. We were never told of details that we had to follow.. The housekeeping doesn't come unless requested by noon. When we did request they never changed our sheets as requested so we slept in sand all week. They also left our door ajar with the lock bar proping it open for over 6 hours so anyone could come into the room to take our things. We arrived on a weekend, called and was told the breakfast closes at 10am. At this time, it would have been wise for the clerk to say the hours of breakfast for all days because the hours were different for weekdays and we missed it. We went to Jt's which is a bar/grill connected to the hotel. Great bar food there. We kept seeing people hand a hotel voucher to the bar and getting a free drink. Apparently we were suppose to get a voucher too but they never gave it to us. There is major, very noisy construction going on across the street. Huge trucks going in and out near the hotel and the road to cross is way to dangerous to cross to go to the beach. We parked in a paying parking space across from the hotel to get to the beach. By the time we figured out how to pay online (6.5 minutes) we got a $78 parking ticket. When we called the number 1 minute after receiving the ticket, it was disconnected. The breakfast was very mediocre the one time we got it, but it was so crowded and there were no tables or any space to go up to even get food unless you waited in a long line. It got dirty super fast. The guys taking care of thr breakfast were sweet but they should have cleaned in between setting up and taking down. The keys had to be remade every day except one. For some reason, the keys weren't properly programmed. We would get all the way upstairs only to have to go back to the lobby. The door to the bathroom doesn't close unless pushed hard to get around the improperly installed toilet. The shower curtain won't stay to each end of the shower so water leaks all over floor. Dennys is in walking distance when you realize you won't be getting the breakfast you paid for each day. Pillows are horrific and bed is uncomfortable. Sheets are nice. Water pressure adequate. Pool was nice in August. Would have liked to have seen pool towels like other Wyndhams have. A couple people on staff were friendly and professional. Others were short tempered and defensive when I saw them dealing with the customers. They way some talked to me I felt I was in trouble for asking for anything. They did accommodate me at one point for something I needed and that was well appreciated. The patrons that stay at this hotel could be a bitsketchy. Our brand new car had suitcase tire wheel scratches all down one side. Obviously, someone placed their bag with wheels on our hood and then just pulled it off while unpacking their car or something who the hell does that!? Young, rough crowd so I can imagine who did. Not a fan of Wyndham anymore as the hotel we also stayed in Dallas was a Wyndham. Their breakfast was inedible. Ultra hard eggs and raw...

LONG POST ALERT!! Not worth it. Do not recommend, run freaking away.

BE AWARE. The staff was very unfriendly, the girl at the front desk is ruuuuude, not friendly, she hates her job and she should NOT be having interactions with any human beings or animal. Unfortunately, she was the tip of the iceberg concerning our God awful 1 night stay here at La quinta coco beach.

#1 They told us to wait while they prepared our rooms and then proceeded to check in other people over a matter of 3.5 hours while we sat directly in front of them in the lounge area. Then when asked what about us...they appeared to have forgotten and then said we could get a room at that point.

#2 we called the front desk to ask a few questions, the amount of rudness and attitude that we encountered was disgusting. You could clearly hear the lady rolling her eyes with annoyance and then she didn't even say bye....just hung up lol smh.

#3 the other hotel guests did not speak to us, were also unfriendly and appeared that everyone had a high disregard for us being there....we really felt extremely unwelcomed no matter how hard we tried to be friendly, kind, and respectful to everyone.

#4 A few of the bar staff members actions were distasteful. I ordered mozeralla sticks and before the bartender even left the register, I asked to change the order to a salad, he scoffs and says "sorry I already sent the order to the kitchen I can't change it"...mind you this was 0.4 seconds after I ordered lol.

#5 let's get into the final straw of this place. We came back to the bar for another drink, the guy with the beard and baseball hat in the front of the house decided to gently THROW/toss the menu at my husband thinking he's supposed to catch it maybe and why toss/throw a menu when we're 2 feet away from each other ?? It made me uncomfortable because i could tell by his facial expressions he wasnt very fond of us and neither were the other bar patrons. I've never experienced this kind of treatment at a restaurant/bar/reputable hotel and I am truly shocked.

PROS: There were about 3 staff members at the bar and front desk combined that were friendly and kind just so I am clear that not everyone's attitudes totally sucked. Rooms were decent sizes, especially for the price, breakfast was rated a 4/10 because waffles tasted funny and the sausage, eggs werent the greatest. Juices were good, coffee was cold, the cereal, fresh fruit, Yoplait yogurt were all good. Pool was nice and clean with plenty of seating and clean outside restrooms.

We canceled our upcoming next stay. I would never recommend anyone to stay here. It was all so distasteful and so disgusting. I wouldn't stay here if they offered us a free vacation and hotel room in fear of ending up in a real life "Get Out" situation 🙅🏽‍♀️🥴🥴...noooo thank...
