In the bustling landscape of local eateries, a place that successfully stands out from the crowd is no small feat. Whisk & Grind does just that, with its refreshing uniqueness both in design and gastronomy.
Having visited on a quiet Sunday morning, the singular charm of the restaurant was immediately perceptible. Greeting patrons were large, repurposed garage doors, an ingenious architectural feature that lends an industrial chic vibe to the place. The design, an effective blend of white and shiny stainless steel, was impeccably clean yet imbued with a warmth that elevates your dining experience.
However, the design is just the palate-cleanser. The main course of the experience lies in their exceptional menu. The Country Benny, a creative riff on the traditional Eggs Benedict, was a revelation. Resting on a homemade grilled biscuit were two well-rounded sausage patties and a pair of delicately poached eggs, draped in a generous blanket of sawmill gravy. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, harmonizing beautifully to create a dish that was rich, robust, and remarkably satisfying. It was a testament to the prowess of comfort food, raising the humble Eggs Benedict to an entirely new echelon of culinary delight.
Accompanying the Benny were home fries that managed to take a seemingly simple side and elevate it to something that commanded attention. These weren't your ordinary home fries - they were a grand exploration of texture and taste. Seasoned to perfection, each piece was a crunchy, flavorful marvel that added another layer of satisfaction to the meal.
The visit to Whisk & Grind was nothing short of an epicurean journey, where the familiar was deconstructed, only to be recreated with a distinctive twist. Their dedication to refining comfort cuisine is something that every gastronome would appreciate.
As I left, the taste of the Country Benny still lingering on my palate, I found myself already anticipating my next meal at Whisk & Grind. Whether you're a local foodie or just passing through town, I would highly recommend stopping by this exceptional eatery. Whisk & Grind isn't just a restaurant - it's a testament to culinary innovation, with each dish promising a story...
Read moreI hope they have security cameras! Today I went to grab coffee and lunch around 11 a.m. I sat at the bar area and ordered eggs and bacon with coffee. I gave them a $50 bill and I put the cash back in my wallet but realized the change seemed pretty light. The two girls behind the counter gave me back $16 in change instead of $30! When I realized what I thought was their mistake, I brought it to their attention and one of the girls said "yea we took that out" as if they decided what their tip should be!!! They did not dispute the fact they gave me incorrect change and both of the girls stood by the register with their back facing me as if discussing what to do since they were caught. They did give me the correct change after I noticed what they were trying to do. At first I wrestled with the idea of not saying anything, but the more I think about it, this type of behavior from their employees will affect the business owner who has no idea that these girls were purposely giving me the wrong change amount hoping I would not notice and I almost didn't!
I hope the owner sees my post and reviews the security footage to take appropriate action. I have been to this place at least 4 times in the past two months but now I will think twice about it because of this bad experience. Please review today's security footage. I was sitting alone at the bar with a dark blue workout sleeveless shirt wearing jeans...
Read moreA nice place to eat in Cocoa Beach. This is located south of Ron Jon’s on A1A and on the east (ocean side) of the road. There is limited parking at this location with a total of about 16 spots. There are two of these locations in the area. They both seem relatively new. I like the look of this location due to its inside and outside seating area and windows on three sides. This all gives it a much more open look and feel for visitors. As you enter, you are greeted and led to a table or booth. In fact, I was greeted by 3 different people. It was very pleasant. The outside seating area is shaded and pleasant. The inside area is a mixture of tables and booths in a large central room with a counter directly in front of the diners. The decor, similar to their other location on Merritt Island, is very tastefully done with a white, ceiling, dark floors and sayings on the wall. The waitress was friendly and professional. She took my order quickly and efficiently. The menu had the usual breakfast and lunch choices with most meals in the $10-$15 range. I tried the Omelet with bacon with English muffins and home fries. The food was good and I really liked the spice on the potatoes. Overall, it was a pleasant experience that I would try again and recommend to others in the area looking for a good...
