I normally shop at this location because of the selection and great customer service. However, today my experience was not pleasant. I have a Kohl's credit card and received a 30% off coupon in the mail. I have used this coupon online for my Holiday shopping. Today, I shopped at the store and while checking out, I explained to the cashier that I forgot my coupon at home but the code was JOLLY30. He told me to pull up my Kohl's account to show him the bar code because JOLLY30 was not acceptable. I tried to log in and it failed because I changed my password and I could not remember what I changed it to. I explained this to him and he said that the best he can do is give me the scratch offs to see if I could luckily get a 30% off. I was not satisfied with this response but decided to scratch them because there was a line full of people staring at me and I also had my 8 week old son with me. (I did not want to make a scene) I received a 20% from one of the scratch offs. The cashier said that is the best he can do. (There was not bar code on this scratch off.) I asked "So if I bring my 30% coupon back into the store will you take the additional money off my purchase?" He said yes. I am very very dissatisfied with my experience with Kohl's. I shop with them for almost all of my Christmas purchases. How come using JOLLY30 online is good enough but not at the store? While scratching the scratch offs I did not see a bar code the cashier had to scan? Also it's a complete inconvenience for me to go home and come back with the coupon so they can finally honor it. When I got home I called the store manager that day. Her name was Megan. She said she is sorry for the inconvenience but she will go over company policies with the individual that checked me out. She also said that if i bring my receipt back she will adjust the discount. I don't understand how they think it's okay to treat customers this way. Once again its a huge inconvenience to myself to go back to the store to get the correct discount I should have gotten in the first place. It's sad to see Kohl's treating there customer's this way and they have lost my business and I will be...
Read moreWent into the Cold Spring KY Kohls location on 10/27 at 10:05 to return my Amazon package. As I went to the Amazon return desk in the back of the store and sat my package on the desk. The employee asked if this was a "Return for amazon", which I answered "yes". Employee opened box and asked " Did you put this together?" I answered "Yes I did and it wasn't what I was looking for." The employee than said "You need to remove these parts to allow it to fit in this box." I asked if they had a wrench than I could do that. The response I got was '"No." I told the employee that the box it is in is not the original box, I just used it to carry everything." At this point the employee was just grabbing loose bolts and putting them into the ziploc bag I brought the other items in. After they said "I put all the loose items into the bag, if you want to grab a wrench to remove these parts I could get it returned." I said "I would need to go back home and do that." The employee closed the box and said "ok."
The first issue is the employee was not helpful at all, they could care less to help resolve the issue, telling a customer to go home than come back isn't good customer service. Secondly the website clearly states that when returning Amazon items you can return them in a box if you choose but it is not required. I do not understand why this employee would deny my return instead of choosing a box to accommodate the item. Not a pleasant...
Read moreWent into Sephora in Kohls to get foundation. I have been in several times and had wonderful help from the girls in the store there. Today was a totally different experience. My husband walked back to the cologne and the sales lady asked if he needed help he said no but my wife is looking for something. She said ok, and went back behind the counter and never came to see what I needed or asked him what I needed. When I walked over to the counter and asked her if they had what I was looking for she told me basically if it wasn't out then they didn't have it. Never offered something similar or anything. Then my husband turned around and said she was sitting there fixing her makeup and hair. We drove to Crestview Hills mall to the Sephora store there and got excellent help from a sales associate that greeted us at the door and helped us un every way possible. This is the kind of service I USUALLY get at the cold spring store from the younger girls that work there. This lady was not any help at all. I was very disappointed and had this been my first time in, I would not have ever came...
