Wood's Flowers and Gifts — Local services in College Park

I was referred by a friend and first time customer at Wood’s Flowers and Gifts. I ordered flowers bouquet for my friend’s funeral today. I paid for the premium size. I was extremely disappointed with the order as the bouquet didn’t look any different than the standard size!!! The premium costed almost $30 more but the bouquet didn’t have more flowers and didn’t look fuller!!! There were a lot of greens and not much of flowers at all!!! I felt I’ve been cheated for paying premium price for standard size!!! I was pretty upset plus sad about my friend’s passing that I didn’t think about taking a picture of it. The bouquet wasn’t worth $120 for it !!!

Update: The owner Sage was very nice and sincere. He tried to reach out to me yesterday but unsuccessful. By the time, I received his message, it was too late to call. Today, I returned Sage's call and spoke to him. He apologized and admitted the mistake on his part. He refunded me the difference. I'm so happy he did call and tried to resolve the issue. Woods flowers has been my florist of first choice for over 15 years. More than an ordinary retailer of botanicals, I have used them for a variety of events to bring the beauty of nature to my friends and family and to colleagues at work. Especially during the last 3 years as we have been faced with the loss of friends and family, they have helped us to express our feelings through the gifts we have given. I appreciate being able to consult with them about options to express our love, our sympathy, our shared joys, our celebrations. And given the wide circle of friends and of cultures, they have been helpful in finding out what is appropriate in other customs and traditions. They have helped me customize food baskets to accommodate dietary preferences as well. And even though I have retired in New York, they still are the first ones I call for floral gifts and baskets for delivery anywhere in the country. Update: Spoke with the manager and he was willing to listen to my issue, provide clarification on the matter and find a resolution which I appreciated. ‐--------------------------------------------- Been ordering from here for several years now, pre-ordered a bouquet a month in advanced and was a bit disappointed with what I recieved yesterday 😕

Flowers were supposed to be a variation of reds and bright pinks since that's the recipients favorite colors but got a variation of purples, light pinks and reds instead. I understand that several flowers may be excluded due to availability but replicated as close as possible to the one displayed on the website due to seasonal limitations. Which is totally fine.

However, for $140 bucks I would expect the flowers to be of greater quality and unfortunately that was not the case as upon closer inspection and once I had already gifted them, the recipients had brought to my attention that they noticed several bruised flowers and some were almost wilting.
