I absolutely agree with other reviewers who said they did not feel welcome in the store for being a person of color. I’ve been to this store a few times now, but as soon as I enter each time, they give me an odd look from top-to-toe, and nothing more. While I went out of my way to give a friendly smile and a “hello”, but they ignored such gesture. And as I peruse through the store, I feel their sneery eyes at me. A few non-person of color, white people enter the store shortly after me. And all the employees’ faces beam with joy as they shower the white customers with a chirpy “Welcome to the store! how may we help you today?!” I have been to other francesca’s all over the states, and never have I felt so miserable as I felt here. Every time in the past I have gone to francesca’s in other locations, I always end up buying several jewelries. But the employees at this particular francesca’s at the post oak mall made me feel so horrible and unwelcome, that I avoid buying anything from here and leave the store as fast as I enter. I remember the first time I went in, and felt the sneery eyes of the employees, I avoided them, and picked an earring and went to the counter. They were all happy and giggly with the customer in line before me, but as soon as it’s my turn, both cashiers look like they are disgusted by my proximity to them, and don’t speak a word. I say “hello” again with a smile. They scan the earring, put it in a small bag, don’t exchange a single word with me, hand me bag. and nothing else. I say “thank you” and leave. They ruined the rest of my day because I kept wondering what I had done to deserve such attitude. the answer is “nothing”. I never bought anything from this store again. Only went in when my friends were with me and wanted something from the store. And I am telling you my white friends were greeted much much differently than me and my poc friends. TLDR: the employees at the francesca’s in post oak mall treat people of color differently and make them feel welcome. Some POC even get profiled, read the other reviews. I would give 0...
Read moreHad a terrible experience at this store. My daughter and I were not greeted upon entering the store because the two older women working the sales floor were very busy hovering around a Hispanic family, very clearly watching their every move. There were plenty of other customers in the store but none got the attention that this family did. The atmosphere was very hostile. We heard them rudely talking TO the family in question. Not a friendly face or tone was seen or heard from either woman. We were directly behind this same family to check out, and as they were leaving, the woman who told me she was the manager (Martha) said to the other lady something along the lines of, “Make sure they all left.” This was not said quietly and was said directly in front of myself and my daughter. I was beyond disgusted by their blatant rudeness and treatment to this Hispanic family who just spent money at their store. We will not be...
Read moreThe manager Kelly is just disgusting. I’m Hispanic but I have never ever experienced anything close to the treatment Kelly gave me. The store was full with other girls but she hovered over me the whole time. When I went to try on clothes she was coming up to the dressing room every 2-3 mins. And to top it off she tried saying that I never gave her back a dress which I never even tried on to begin with. The fact that she tried to memorize everything I brought in there is ridiculous. After I left the dressing room I was going to buy a dress so I started looking for accessories but the whole time she was staring at me from behind the counter. I felt so uncomfortable I put the dress back and left. I’ve never been so embarrassed and will not be returning to this location. I have a family friend who works at Francesca’s HR and I will be filing a...
