the customer service was great, we thought I had one type of phone and ordered a screen for it because I had broken mine and it turned out to be the wrong screen, then they ordered the right one at no extra cost but the order was delayed a day, I brought it in and it was replaced within the day on Thursday may 23rd 2024, I did notice air bubbles on the side of the screen and the man that installed it said it shouldn't cause any issues and if it does to bring it back, same evening it started to look fuzzy and began to glitch also my phone call quality is not as good as it was before. I have emailed them and of course am waiting to hear back. I will keep this review updated as things get resolved. as of now I'm hoping for an easy resolution, as I live 45 minutes away and have already made the trip up there twice and waited about 30 minutes each time with kids in tow. they were very cordial and kind. so I'm hoping to get my money back. I have only had it for about 6 hours have not dropped it or damaged it, all normal use. very disappointed. it happened 2 times this evening, and the last photo is how it is normally.. I also have a full video of it glitching. I took screen shots of it because I accidentally included my password in it.. lookin forward to hearing back from them
Edit: we just went back today 05/29 and they replaced the screen with a galaxy brand, it is working fine and again their customer service is wonderful. But I would reccomend that you do not purchase aftermarket products, I work from home using my phone and this was an extreme inconvenience, they made it right and I appreciate that, they did ask that I recoup some of the costs but then understood why that was problematic for me. All in all a terrible experience made better by the folks who wanted me to be satisfied with the service they provide. I'm happy to say the phone looks good, it was an uncomfortable situation for me and for them. I can't stress enough, buy the name brand parts for your phone. It's worth it.
I would like to note I was not asked if I wanted an aftermarket product I thought my phone was an FE and purchased name brand accordingly. It was not my choice to purchase the aftermarket that was offered and I appreciate all yall have done to make this right. And with the 40$ you didnt ask about that until we were about to leave with the phone while originally yall agreed to cover all costs, and when i hesitated you said nevermind and let us leave. I couldn't with a good conscience spend more money, 4 hours of collective driving 2 hours of waiting while you worked, and a week that I couldn't work my second job because I need my phone for it. That wasn't all your fault, Yall did all you could, and your customer service was good! But I can't give 5 stars for customer service alone. And because of this argument, I'm putting my review back to 2 stars. And I'm done. Thank you...
Read moreTwo stars instead of one as I-Cell did correct their wrong. On their website, I booked a service for my phone, their website asks for the phone model. Went to the kiosk for the time I scheduled, went over my model of phone again. Did go to the AT&T store to talk about new phones but decided to repair current phone. Told I-Cell since I will not be upgrading, I want all OEM parts, handed them my phone so they could look at it while looking into parts and after discussing price, we agreed to a time to drop off the phone. Dropped off my phone the day we planned, and after I-Cell received the parts, they they ordered the wrong parts and the correct parts were going to be more expensive. After discussion and since the incorrect parts were at the fault of I-Cell, they agreed to do the service for the original agreed upon price, what they did not tell me was they were going to not use aftermarket parts. Only item I could confirm was the back glass, but after speaking with I-Cell I do not trust the screen and battery replacement. After receiving the phone, I went home and looked more into the phone and noticed gaps between the back glass and the frame, as well as the back glass overlapping the frame around the bottom of the phone and a top corner. I emailed I-Cell twice asking to confirm all parts were OEM. With no response after a couple hours, I went back to the kiosk where I-Cell was on his phone scrolling social media. I asked him in person if all parts were OEM and he mentioned just the back glass was aftermarket, "but the premium one since I offered you a discount". After conversation, I-Cell mentioned they could only do the discount if they did the cheaper back glass but did not mention this to me at the time (emails to prove). When I mentioned this again, they claimed I put words in their mouth and they mentioned the aftermarket back glass the day we ordered the parts which is incorrect. I then asked if we can just agree the aftermarket glass was not a good fit or not installed correctly, to which I-Cell laughed and went on their laptop to order the OEM back glass. As mentioned in the beginning of the post, I-Cell did fix my phone, but I do not trust I-Cell based on our conversation both via email...
Read moreMy phone broke on my Daughers birthday. Talk about a bad time to break just as we were about ready to have her blow out candles. I had no idea what to do. It was still ringing, sounding notifications etc but no light so I had NOTHING! Took it to our local store and almost $500 later I had no choice than to get a new phone.(or so i thought)But that wasn't the worth part. My Mother had just passed away 3 days prior and now I didn't have any of my pics, texts, or contacts as the local.store wasn't able to transfer over..I also run a.business and all of my Clients info, receipts, recent communication was in that phone. I was devastated. I took my phone to the I Cell Phone Repair in the Nittany Mall State College. I wasn't very optimistic about getting everything back after the trip to our local store but to my surprise he(sorry I didn't get the man's name) said it was no problem. He knew exactly what was wrong and it would be ready the next day??? I was SO relieved. He even held it for me since I wasn't able to make it back to the area until the following week. He was so kind, understanding. And very professional. Fixing my phone may be what he does every day but for me it was life changing. We live and breath by our phones and don't realize how much so until you actually can't access or transfer any of it. Gone, lost forever or so I thought. I have all.if my info back and couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. The pricing was very reasonable as well and had I know I could have paid less than half of what I did to get a new phone that's certainly the option I would have choosen but at least I Cell Phone Repair was able to get everything back for me..
