My husband and I have been customers at Brothers for years and have always enjoyed the food and comfortable atmosphere. Even when Covid 19 hit we continued to support by ordering take out or dining in when allowed at least 3-4 times a month. Tonight at 8:30 we called to order a pizza for takeout. We were informed that you closed at 9:00 and we placed our order. We arrived at 8:50. Our bill was $21 and some cents and my husband gave the cashier a $50 bill and told her to keep the change. She barely even acknowledged this generous tip and acted more annoyed than grateful. There was no eye contact and when we are all wearing masks eye contact is very important. Maybe she was having a bad day....I understand that, however I feel that she had no appreciation for what she was given. We understand how stressful it must be for small businesses and always try to go above and beyond to show our appreciation with our tips. I hope tomorrow is a better day for her. Hopefully it will be the last day of lockdown and things can start to get back to normal. Thank you Brothers for your wonderful food and giving us something to look forward to at the end of the week. And thank you Oscar for always making our pizza...
ย ย ย Read moreI feel a real sense of missed opportunity having not tried Brothers Pizzeria over the past four years my son was at Penn State. It wasn't until his very last day there, post-move out, that we decided to look for a dining spot outside of the immediate downtown area, somewhere convenient for our trip home. That led us to Brothers, and I am so glad it did โ it truly embodies "better late than never"! The moment you walk in, it has this fantastic, nostalgic feel reminiscent of 80s pizzerias, complete with 80s music - which could have just been coincidental but I loved it! We had a very nice and welcoming waitress, and the restaurant had plenty of comfortable seating. As someone who considers themselves a pizza aficionado, particularly comparing to Jersey and NY standards, the traditional cheese pizza was a must-try. It offered a delightful difference โ a slightly thicker, perfectly cooked crust paired with balanced, fresh sauce and cheese. There was a unique deliciousness to it that stood out. This place is a must-try, and I'm still shaking my head that I discovered this incredible gem on my final trip home from State College....
ย ย ย Read moreThis is specifically just for the Benner Pike location. We have a Brothers in Milesburg across from the high school that i will not go to anymore because of the quality, the quality sucks at that location. Benner Pike is always good, ive never had a bad meal at that location. My wife and I are GM and Assistant Manager at a Papa Johns so i do know restaurants i do know pizza i do know quality. Todays visit was perfect everything came out just as it should and they used sliced Roma tomatos not cubed tomatos. I think Romas are the best tomato for a pizza specially white pizza. Im thankful for this restaurant because we have stopped eating at so many other restaurants purely over quality. All my reviews quality is the number one thing i talk about because it can have no atmosphere but it wouldnt matter to as long as the quality is there. I highly highly recommend this...
