Weis Markets — Local services in College Township

Generally, I enjoy shopping at this location. Fresh produce, decent deli and bakery. Good overall selection. Came in around store opening (7a on Saturday, trying to avoid long lines and crowded aisles) for kitchen/pantry restock and holiday weekend supplies. No cashier on duty AT ALL. Had to ring out full cart; the register/scanner showed an error after almost every swipe. The really nice employee who had to clear out the errors was nice, friendly, and patient but kept telling me that the machine was "talking back" and "being difficult." Couldn't open one staffed lane? Aweful customer and mindset behaviors from Tina. She could not stop whining (aah I don’t like this, I don’t like that). Came to receive a Western Union but she could not stop complaining. If you cannot process WU, stop the service as a site or get coaching/training. I had to go a walmart and got both transfers processes in less than 5 mins. Tina’s attitude is unacceptable, if you do not like it quit and stop off loading your frustrations on the customers. If you accept a job, you should not be picking and chosing what you like or don’t like within your roles and responsibilities as long as you are hired. My mom and I (Since we do the grocery shopping) go here a lot. It is close and has good prices. They have a news flier that has all the deals going on, as well as what will be going on sale fridays. Never had a bad experience here with employees. They have a discount rack, where they put baked goods that are messed up (donuts weren't perfect, bread is misshaped etc). It is a great place to look because you can find a lot of good stuff (half price cakes sometimes!). Overall this is a good store, i just reccomend being a smart shopper, because you...
