I need to share my disgusting, disturbing, experience at this Glenolden CVS. I went there Friday 8/9/24 about 11:30 pm to buy medical supplies for following day for my patient. As I got there, I parked right at entrance. Pulled up my CVS app.. coupon searching and got myself together to go in. At this time, a male, much bigger than me, approaches my car, (my window was down bc finishing my cigarette first) he holds on to top of my roof reaching in, asking me if I have cash app.. I was scared. I was in shock.. fight or flight.. so I blurt out.. I don't have my phone. Forgot it at home. My fear was if he saw phone.. he could've forced me to cash app and I know that's sketchy. So.. at this point.. he walks away.. it's pouring out.. never did I get into store.. so I said.. omg he walked away.. reverse and get the hell outta here. But.. unfortunately.. I thought he walked away to return into store bc he was in there.. his card declined and than approached me.. but he only walked few steps away to the ENTRANCE way trash can. Now .. he was in store. Came out. Went back to entrance trash can.. ok.. so we all know camera footage. Anyway.. he went to trash. Before I could reverse.. boom at my car. He demands money. Bc I said my phone was home .. he said when u leave I will follow u home. Now.. as I said.. fight or flight.. we all had times in life in situations where later we said.. damn.. why didn't I do this.. or damn I could've done that.. right? I know as humans.. we have all experienced that. And it hurts and it sucks. SO.. he claims he will follow me. Now.. at home.. I have a bedridden mother. A 35 year old bro with Downe Syndrome... So what do I do.. I panic.. he won't leave my car.. if I reversed.. I would've ran over his foot and listen.. my luck.. this day and time.. I KNOW FIRST HAND.. I WOULD BE ARRESTED! SO IM FORCED TO HAND HIM CASH WITH HOPES AND PRAYERS HE WILL WALK AWAY AND LEAVE ME ALONE.. So sad that it comes to this. Sure I should've rolled window up. Sat on horn.. ran over his foot... But at that moment.. u just can't think properly. So.. this is a major issue not only for me.. what about the elderly? Our daughters? Our mother's? Who ever... 911 of course was called by me.. THEY DIDNT CARE. THEY DID NOTHING. 2 WEEKS LATER STILL HAVE NOT REQUESTED STORE FOOTAGE. AS FAR AS CVS... MANAGER DAWN.. SO HEARTLESS RUDE. HIRES PEOPLE THAT SLEEP. HER EMPLOYESS TOLD ME THAT THIS MAN DOES THIS EVERY WEEK IN STORE.. CARD DECLINED.. BOTHERS OTHERS OUTSIDE... U KNOW.. ONES LIKE ME THAT DROP $100 EACH CVS VISIT. SHE WAS SO NOT UNDERSTANDING. DID NOT TAKE IT SERIOUS. THIS HER STORE TO MANAGE. U GOT 1 NEW EMPLOYEE UNDER 25 YEARS OLD AND 1 OTHER EMPLOYEE.. UNDER 25 WORKING THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT WHO KNEW BC TOLD ME.. THE GUY DOES EVERY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT... SO UMM... WHY NOT FRIGGIN TRESPASS HIM.. AFTER ALL.. HE SPENDS ZERO IN UR STORE. I SPEND NOW MY $100 AT WALGREENS.. SCREW U CVS. TO LET THIS SLIDE BC WHAT.. U DONT WANNA DO UR JOB. DONT WANNA CARE. OH BUT WAIT.. U DONT CARE BUT HAVE US BUYING CARE PASS MEMBERSHIP. PLZ.. WALGREENS IT IS... I AM NOT NOT. I waited in line for 45 minutes and the pharmacist told me to come back later. I called corporate and received msg that it was fixed and the script was processing⦠every time the pharmacist held up filling and delayed the process. Now my health is in danger and I need to inform my family that my pressure is so out of control because cvs changed manufacture during treatment, and I am very sensitive to meds. But the change threw my heart into kaos! Next stop will be hospital or death.And customer service ask why I havenāt meds for two days since a had a thirty day supply⦠you would think that they would know some months have 31 days! After calling all day after, with a pressure of 171/121. Finally found out it was there fault and they should have at least giving me emergency pills I even ask to pay for it or something and they said come back after helping the person before me for 15 min. The next day i come back totally different people⦠I asked to speak to the manager and I explain what she was wearing what she looked like from the day before but she told me no one was aware of the situation, but I had just called CVS customer service and they let me know that they had just spoken with the location and they were fully aware. And then she just started trying to give me a hard time she close the window on me several times so she didnāt hear what I wanted to say. She started to get aggravated with me and then she used God bless you almost as profanity at me, that was totally disgusting! And she was different from the lady the day before it was this big black girl with a really nasty attitude! She tries to come off like sheās nice, but she has more than one dialect and she twist her words to be sarcastic with you because Iām upset and because I have high blood pressure and I canāt get my pills⦠she wasnāt upset with her possibilities of.heart problems so why should she take care for mine type of attitude ⦠I canāt make sense of it because it doesnāt make any at all. And she wouldnāt her me just because I was upset spending two entire days fixing their mistake per the insurance said they ācharged for 60 pills and then try to run it again twice for 90 pills so it declined every time afterwards because they already had approval for 60 pills and they didnāt want to work out the situation for me while I was there and their systems sent me multiple messages, saying the script had been prepared and they wouldnāt even let me pay for it to save my life! Even though they didnāt say much other than the black girl, the white girl stood there, and pretty much didnāt say much tried to act as though she was listening as the black girl just ran her mouth Or shut the window on me! And what gets me is that these people are very smart⦠I think they spent all their time, figuring out how they can be lazier or get away with not doing their work! I started receiving texts from cvs informing me I need to pay for medication covered by my insurance. Not sure if they are trying to double dip and get payment from Insurance and customers, so beware. When I went to the pharmacy to address this, learned that the staff there were just making up numbers for insurance information instead of entering my actual information on my account. When did it become ok to make up patient information and add it to someoneās account? This is illegal?!! When I complained to the pharmacist she apologized and assured me it would not happen again.
This week, my husband went to pickup medication and the illiterate pharmacy tech had the medication in her hand but told my husband she couldnāt find him in their system. Again, been going to CVS for years and all of a sudden his account is an āissueā. She told hubby she is changing his name in their system, he pleaded with her to stop as this will cause a lot of issues having the incorrect name on his medication, and and she proceeded to threaten him and said she would refuse to give him his medication. How does someone have the audacity to commit illegal actions against a patient as other staff and pharmacists watch, after my husband explicitly stated he does not want any of his information changed, and then proceed to threaten him??! When did this behavior and treatment of patients become acceptable at CVS? What are the pharmacists teaching their techs ? When husband spoke to the pharmacist, the guy told him thereās nothing he was going to do about it, shrugged his shoulders and walked away. When I called to speak with the supervisor/pharmacist about the incident the pharmacist denied it and when I told him the video cameras at cvs will prove otherwise, he hung up on me. Absolutely sickening behavior.
If you are not going to care about patients or their health then do not work in healthcare!! You are threatening and risking peopleās lives! Do not break healthcare laws out of sheer laziness, ignorance, and complete disregard for this countryās laws and itās people.
