Inside is clean, has plenty of seating. I've been going here on and off on the way to work. When I used to go a year or so ago, the people were on it. They knew how to make an undertoe that wakes you right up, and get your day going. I've been going almost everyday this week and they couldn't get that right. I just gave up ordering it. Salter caramel cold brew doesn't hit the same now that it's in a compostable container. Pastries are still good. Service is just slow esp at drive thru window. I think I'm switch back to a different location. I just went here because it's kind of easy to go to and not busy in the morning on the way to work.
I've been here a few times, and unfortunately, I expected more. As a new Starbucks, you'd expect the workers to be on point.
The first time I went here, I ordered an undertoe, which is a doppio espresso with a splash of half and half, with one pump vanilla. Ordered this in drive thru, and the person handed me what felt like a latte. I looked at him, and all he could say was he was new. I let it go.
The second time I went here, I figured I had plenty of time to grab a drink before going to work. The drive-thru line was long. I went inside to place my order, thinking it would be faster. I ordered one drink with 2 pastries. I kid you not, it took 20 minutes before I actually got my drink and left. So much for being early. It's not like there were a lot of orders coming through with the app, etc. I just let it go and left.
The last time I came here, I wanted to use my points because I had rewards points expiring. When I tried to use it, they told me it was too late. They rang me up already, was not even apologetic, or tried to fix anything. Typically, other places will proactively ask me if I want to use my points. Not this place.
Maybe I'll come back when they finally get their stuff together. I only went here because of the parking and I was nearby. Think I'll go back to the other one where there is Chipotle...
Read moreThis location should just do drive thru only and not offer mobile pickup because it seems like that's their priority after all. Based on my observations, there's a timer from when an order was put in to when it was served for the drive thru, but no such thing exist for mobile orders. The priority is basically (1) drive thru (2) in person (3) mobile because I've showed up numerous times to this location over the past year or so and seen so many people get their drinks before I do when their orders came after mine. The funny thing? I've always just ordered a simple Pike roast coffee with no add-ons and it takes an additional 15-20mins after the stated pickup time and flagging a few baristas at that. Even if the coffee was in a queue of other drinks, wouldn't it be the easiest drink to serve? I get it if they need to brew a fresh batch but here's the other thing: most of the drinks I've seen being made are customized and cold drinks and I've visited at different times of the day so it would be unlikely that I'd show up every single time they are brewing a fresh batch. What's even more frustrating is seeing some patrons order a coffee in person to get it immediately. I've seen some Starbucks locations disable mobile pickup and highly recommend this location doing the same.
I also don't think the issue falls on the baristas working there but something management should look into.
I honestly miss their old location in the mall, which I've frequented for over 10 years until they closed...

A Calm and Enjoyable Start to the Day at the Serramonte Starbucks
This was my first time visiting the newer Starbucks location at Serramonte, and I’m really glad I stopped by. I arrived a bit early for Crunch Fitness and realized I had a Starbucks gift card, so I decided to head over and relax while waiting for the gym to open. It ended up being a great decision.
The space itself is bright, clean, and inviting. The seating was surprisingly comfortable—plenty of room to sit and unwind without feeling cramped or rushed. It had that nice balance of being open but still cozy, which can be hard to find.
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. They greeted me with a smile, took the time to get my order right, and created an overall welcoming vibe. It felt like they actually enjoyed being there, which made the whole experience feel more personal.
The music was also worth mentioning—whoever put together the playlist nailed it. It was upbeat enough to keep the energy up, but mellow enough to make for a peaceful, easygoing atmosphere. It all just added to the sense of calm that made the morning feel like a bit of a reset.
I wasn’t expecting much more than a place to kill a little time, but this Starbucks ended up being the perfect spot to ease into the day. I’ll definitely be back the next time I need a quiet place to relax before a workout—or anytime I’m in the area and want a...
