Food was good, but could only consciously give 3 stars based on the really bad ordering/service. Below is the hopefully constructive feedback I provided to Chik-fil-A:
My family's first Chik-fil-a experience at a Bay Area store (new Daly City location) was honestly a DISASTER. We placed an app order in advance and forced to sit in an enormous drive-thru lane with mostly people waiting to order- so pre-ordering has ZERO benefit. We waited over an hour between ordering and leaving the parking lot. A few suggestions below. We will not be back while the drivethru only is in effect- way too many faster options in the area. #1 Put up HUGE signs outside the drive thru entrance (facing street or main parking lot) informing customers that pulling into the UNUSED mobile order pickup parking spots is NOT an option. We wasted valuable time not realizing that our only option was driving back to the street to the beginning of the drive thru line #2Have someone at the end of the line explaining this- the 2 clerks taking orders were by the ordering window - at least 200 feet from where anyone in their car can ask questions #3 You have 2 drive thru lines- 1 should be "express" - only mobile pre-orders #4If someone at the front of the line has an order issue, they should be instructed to pull off the line into a designated parking spot while their order is troubleshooted. One family/car kept sending me their bag back, and the cars behind them (at least 6 cars had their food at that point) couldn't leave while the problem car was not moving. This added 15 minutes to the already long wait and is extremely frustrating as it's...
Read moreDo they not realize that we can see what they’re doing…? Was a Monday afternoon so really slow, but the employees work even slower. I watched them stand around chatting with eachother instead of expediting orders for people who were waiting for much longer than they should’ve. They have no sense of urgency, and one of the girls had an ATTITUDE. I believe she was the one in charge of handing out the orders. Like, made eye contact with me as I waited to tell her my name for pick up atleast twice before ignoring me and walking away once I finally caught her attention the fourth time I gently called out to her. I tell her my name and she rolls her eyes, walks away, then doesn’t update me on my order or anything. As I stood there waiting for 20 more minutes (I might as well have been watching paint dry) I saw she did the same thing to other customers as well and they all seemed confused/baffled when she would ignore them and address the next customer without saying anything else. They work at a snail’s pace so if you really need chick fil a, order an hour before you plan to pick up. They’re pretty lucky they’re the only franchise around the area, otherwise they’d be out of business with how their customer service is. Either management needs to treat their employees better so they don’t act like they hate their job, or they need to grow up and find a new job. I always thought chick fil a standards were supposed to be better than McDonald’s, but, definitely not here. Shame that they’re so terrible, hoping they either fix their staff or a new franchise opens up around here soon. Won’t be frequenting as often as I...
Read moreI am not one to complain nor write a bad review w but with the service I received recently from this specific Chic Fil A chain was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Though before I’ve always had a great experience when I come to this chain but on June 16th at 8pm, my friend and I decided to order through their drive thru. First of ,we were told the chip reader died as we finished our order, this was no problem and we understood, so we were told to pay through another worker’s chip reader and the card went through and got approved. However, minutes after, we were told that the card did not went through and we were told to pay again, which we did. We became suspicious after since we checked on our bank transactions that both charges went through and was approved. We proceeded to get the attention of their outside workers for help but all of our attempts were ignored, even though the workers directly looked at us and walked past our car while we were waving and saying ‘excuse me’. The there workers were an asian guy with glasses, a blond skinny girl and a dark haired girl with the kuromi phone case. We then proceeded to talk to their ‘team leader’ who seemed unpleased about the situation. We then were told that only one receipt was charged in their system, even though days after my friend was still charged and it is shown in her bank statements. It is extremely disappointing and sad that a used to be pleasant and unproblematic business who would treat their customers with no such care and respect. I hope they can work on their attitudes in the future so no other customers would experience the...
