I was here yesterday in the early afternoon and received incredibly poor service. Out of the seven or so staff working, four of them were behind the counter chatting amongst themselves. One of the staff was working to help multiple people at once, another of them was being berated by another customer, and the last staff member was standing in the middle of the store pointing people in the direction of where to find things.
When I came in looking for some slacks and nice shirts, the young attendant I asked for direction stood and just pointed to the corner of the store telling me where they think things are. They did not walk me over there to continue further assisting me or ask me any additional follow up questions. They did the job of a signpost. When I finally did find some articles to try on, the only attendant who would respond to me was the one who was already servicing two other customers. When I went to the counter closest to the dressing area to check out, it seemed to upset the young folks talking amongst themselves that I needed to pay for the item I wanted, and then was told I had to be brought all the way to the front check out to actually check out. I hadn't realized that I was inconveniencing them for wanting to buy something. That is to say nothing of the 45 second pitch to sign up for a rewards program, which I politely declined. I was also told immediately afterwards that they had run out of bags, so I had to carry all of my clothing out on hangers or just folded up in my arms.
I've shopped at the Men's Wearhouse before and I've had great service and yes, I was very comfortable with what I bought and walked out with. But this location is horrible. The customer service was incredibly poor and very little notice was taken to try and improve the experience. The staff was also generally rude and dismissive to myself and other customers in the store.
I would recommend that if you shop this location, be wary of these...
Read moreWish I could give 0 stars. I ordered a suit rental for a weekend wedding and told the people taking the measurements at least 3-4 times that I needed to pick the suit up on Thursday morning as I was leaving for the weekend. They assured me over and over again that the suit would be there. Morning of, I call to make sure the suit has arrived and as I suspected from the beginning, it had not. When I ask how that could be, the store manager tells me that their policy is to have suites delivered 2 days before the event date (in my case it was Saturday), but again, I was planning on leaving on Thursday. I ask him if he can understand my frustration about that bit of important info not being disclosed and the assistant who helped initially not taking that into account when inputting my information. His response is, “well I don know what you want me to do, it will be here today. I guess I can ship it to you”. My confidence in their ability to get a suit out to me in time when they couldn’t get it to themselves in time is absolutely 0. I will never be a customer of Men’s Wearhouse again and I will certainly recommend that others...
Read moreA friend who is getting married said he got a good deal from this store. The full order was set up in Maryland. The first time I got to the branch in Colma, I was told to call the salesperson in Maryland and sort it out. I was not understanding clearly what needs to happen so I asked the rep to write down what my friend should tell the associate in Maryland. I think I was being perceived being slow or did not express myself clearly in English. I came back when it got sorted out and the order was placed. I was not thanked for my business when I placed the order. Jeez.. This was a $250 suit.. I don't care about the suit.. I care about how much I am paying for it..
Today, I got in to try it. Again, you are just there like a number. I had it fit, tailor was there. I paid $80 something bucks to have it altered. The rep again did not thank me or whatsoever.
So I came back again and cancelled my alteration order. Got my money refunded. Got the suit and went out.
Yeah.. everyone is tired, because everyone wants to be treated like royalty. What a world...
