The woman at the counter was so friendly and kind (not to mention stunningly beautiful). I had many questions because I had began studying African cuisine a few months ago. She answered all of my questions and even went as far as to write out a recipe for me for Nigerian jaafa rice (I’m so excited to try it!). Read moreMy two experiences while visiting the store have been nothing short of negativity. The first was when I met a female attendant who was rude as hell. Her demeanor depicted superiority, which is fond amongst Nigerians(unnecessary forming). The second visit was with a male attendant who I heard speaking Yoruba loud and clear, but chose to respond to all my questions in Yoruba with a fake American accent. To you, Mr. Man, speaking Yoruba to you was not to demand any freebies, but to show love to another person who shares our mother language. Read moreThis place is the best African market in Colorado Springs! Right upon entering the store I was amazed by cleanliness and good customer service. She was very personable and she answered every question that I had. She even wrote down some recipes for me to try. After picking food I found beautiful African clothing that I loved. Everything that I was looking for from food, wigs, clothing and skin care products was there at this African market. There was no reason for me to go to another store after leaving this market.
