The Sound Shop — Local services in Colorado Springs

Being somewhat of a newbie in the home theater area I went by here to get some advice and take a listen to what they have. When I entered the store there was an associate behind the counter that was very nice and began to answer my questions. I was kind of concerned as he said his prices can beat even crutch field even before we knew what I was asking for. After trying to answer my questions he didn't offer to go listen to anything or to show me what the receivers are or speakers. He just told me to go push some buttons and let him know if I had any questions. Other places have actually taking the time to show me many different combinations of Amp and speakers. Disregard all negative reviews left for this company . I went into their store to get a 3amp 250volt time release fuse for my vintage Denon POA -2200 Amp which no one carries in Colorado Springs. I showed Scott the fuse he went back into their service department and within in minutes he returned asked me to hold out my hand a gave me two fuses!!! i offered to pay his reply was don't worry about it!!!.this is what you call top notch customer service!!! I can imagine that their service department is top notch too. They have a lovely layout of all their high end audio systems and speaker systems i asked about their lovely display of vintage high end especially about this reel to reel ,Scott laughed and said NOT FOR SALE!!!!!!! One of my Wednesday's off from the hospital where I had some wonderful me time and dropped into see Scott and Patty on this very very cold February 23, and KNEW I'd be warmed by some warm tunes on some demo-equipment, and I was NOT left out in the cold...for ALL U pun-peeps!! Hehehe! Needless to say, I've been a major fan of the Sound Shop for over 20 years and their equipment their technologies, the resources that they have available to them, as well as their own personal strengths in information is one of the reasons why I continue to come back to them, no matter what I'm buying or how much I'm spending!
