Update: So much for two stars; dropped to one after the childish response from management, would do zero if possible.
Look, you can doubt my kid all you want, but that’s in vain. She knows her Trader Joe’s. I read her the response to this and she said ‘Whatever. The meat tasted fine, it just took forever to chew.’
And concerning our feedback in person, what would the recourse have been? Go to a better butcher and get different meat? Because that’s really the only solution here.
Pro tip: spend your time figuring out how to prepare your allegedly high quality meat better instead of whining at your critics.

This food is tired and sad.
For dinner, we ordered the Sherpa Sampler, the Appetizer Sampler, and a Tibetan Beef and Broccoli for my kids to split.
The waitress was very pleasant and accommodating, allowing me to substitute Lamb Vindaloo for the Lamb Curry. A well-earned star.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with sensational smells of spice filling the small dining room. What must’ve been a Himalayan flute Pandora station played softly in the background. Another solid star.
Unfortunately the food drags the rest of this review down. Another reviewer touched on meat quality. That assessment is spot on. The Chicken Tikka Masala used very tough, dry breast. The Lamb Curry turned Vindaloo was tough, too. My 9 year old eventually finished her Tibetan Beef and Broccoli with an unconvinced and perturbed expression. When I asked how it was she told me Trader Joe’s beef and broccoli from the freezer section had more tender beef and costs a third as much.
The flavors of our various dishes were fine, but nothing more. While this is a passable dinner option, I’d recommend anywhere else at this point. The 4.6 stars are just simply not...
Read moreI'm all about supporting Local restaurants, especially in this pandemic. Yesterday I ordered $85 worth of food from Sherpa Gardens. However, when I picked up my food, the portions were laughably tiny and when I got home I realized that I paid $15 for a 4oz. container of Chicken Tikka Masala, which only comes with a side of rice. The Sherpa Combination was $24 and the portions were even smaller! I couldn't believe it! I called the restaurant and when I explained that I didn't feel that I received $85 worth of food, the server said "Yeah, I noticed that too." I told him I was going to return the food for a refund. I received a call back from the daughter of the owner, offering me a $25 discount. When I asked for a full refund, again, the owner got on the phone and screamed at me that they refused to take the food back and give me a refund! Then he hung up on me! When I called back, I asked to speak to the daughter who seemed reasonable but he claimed that his daughter wasn't at the restaurant and no refunds, then hung up on me again! I arrived back to the restaurant and went in. Low and behold his daughter was standing right there! The owner then proceeded to argue with my mother!! The daughter claimed that she wasn't in the kitchen while our order was made and that the portions weren't usually that small, but they were lunch portions (not what I paid for). She remade my order in appropriate sized containers, apologized and we left. The food was actually delicious, but I will not be supporting this restaurant again. You absolutely DO NOT treat your...
Read more3.5 stars - 3 for the food and 0.5 extra stars for the wonderful staff. Our server was very sweet, friendly and welcoming.
We ordered the momos to start with. I got the mango lassi and my brother got the Mustang Chai. For the main course, I got the chicken vindaloo and my brothers got the himalayan curry with lamb and the tibetan chili. We also got a couple of garlic, cheese, onions naans.
The momos were really good. Esp with the hot sauce, they were delicious. The mango lassi was very smooth and just the right side of sweet. My brother loved the Mustang Chai - tea with whisky . I tasted it and it wasn't my cup of tea at all 😛.
Overall, I was a little disappointed with the main course. The curries didn't look anything like I expected. My vindaloo was a little runny and just ok to taste. I actually liked the himalayan curry more. The naan was big but too hard and I didn't get much of the garlic at all and some cheese and some onion. The chili was decent and probably the best out of the three.
Guess this is not a place that goes with my taste palate, but these people...
