I'm extremely disappointed... I loved Taste of Philly but after today ill never go back. I have been coming to the same taste of Philly for the past 6 years, i didn't mind when they moved locations it was a better location and way cleaner i loved their food especially the fact that i have Rye bread allergy so i always order the Reuben its my favorite thing to eat especially from taste of Philly.... So today a bunch of us from work made an order on a sticky note and i came to make the order and bring it back because they no longer deliver to our business as its out of range...
I walked in this morning around 10:35am. The woman who was running the front of house at the register was not at the register you could hear her YELLING at the cooks in the back and talking gossip on another employee, she didn't even acknowledge me till the cook said something to her. I have now been here till 10:50am so i have sat here for 15 minutes listening to you yell and gossip, she asks what i want not in a friendly manor. I asked for the Reuben sandwich on a hoagie roll and that i had other sandwiches to order. She immediately tells me they don't make that sandwich on the hoagie roll. I was super confused considering we were in the same taste a Philly about 3 weeks ago and they had no problems making me this sandwich and they didn't even up charge me which i told them i don't mind i understand I'm making my sandwich special so there maybe extra charges, She proceeded to tell me that since they have moved from s Nevada to this new location they don't do that type of sandwich anymore. I re-advised i just did this SAME order a couple weeks ago. I have 8 sandwiches to order and 8 french fries i was seriously about to give this woman almost $100 in food and she turned me away.
Needless to say Taste of Philly lost my business forever. Ill be traveling a little further to go to Travelis for this same sandwich taste of Philly could have made me. I work in a corporate call center and we come at-least once a month to your establishment. The entire call center is now boycotting this location. Who ever that woman is in the front really needs to learn better customer service.
If she were to gossip on my floor at the call center and a single customer mentions it she would have been fired and walked out immediately.
I wont be giving you any stars except i cant post it unless i at least...
Read moreUnfortunately I can't give less than 1 star. The restaurant was dirty and the food was terrible. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak Salad which, according to the menu, includes cheese. I'm sure that's why it's called a Philly "Cheesesteak" salad. My husband ordered a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. While we were waiting for our food we walked through the restaurant to find a table. Every table was dirty. I had to ask to have a table cleaned. When the food was served, the salad was served without cheese so I took it back to the counter. I was told the salad didn't include cheese. I referred to the menu which listed the ingredients "with chopped steak and American cheese." The counter person looked completely surprised but agreed to add cheese to the salad and said she would bring it to me. The cooks finished making orders for the other 5 or 6 people waiting in line and then put cheese on my salad, grilled the salad and finally, about 10+ minutes later, brought me a salad with hot lettuce, very dry chopped steak, roasted, wilted cucumbers and tomatoes and two pieces of cheese melted into it. It may be the worst salad I've ever had. My husband's Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was on par with the salad. The meat was terribly dry and apparently they're trying to save on cheese because we could hardly find any in the sandwich. Also, I saw three employees in the restaurant, the counter person and two cooks, none of whom were wearing masks or gloves. Whether or not you, personally, decide to wear a mask is up to you. However, if the employees at Taste of Philly openly ignore the health and safety guidelines to which they they are required to adhere, what other health and safety guidelines are they ignoring that...
Read moreOn June 29th I called in an order for a works sandwich w green chili. On the website it says the works is $11.50. When I went to cash out it was over $15. When I asked about the price the lady behind the counter raised her voice and cut me off. I was very embarrassed because she started speaking to me like I am a child. I am not concerned about the money because I pay around $15 for lunch most places I go. I was simply asking a question. I got my food and still put a dollar in the tip jar because maybe she was having a bad day. I know she is the manager because she was conducting and interview. When I got back to work I called in and right away she started yelling again after cutting me off from speaking. I work right across the street and have went there several times because I like the food. I usually don't pay attention to the price because like I said the money wasn't the issue. If I had a price on my website that was incorrect I would take care of my customer and handle the rest internally. When my girlfriend visits me for lunch that was our go to place. After today I will never step foot in there again. We will find somewhere else to eat and when my co-workers ask what I want from there I will be sure they know I will not support this business. Maybe a good idea to keep a person like that in the back and not deal w customers. She was even condescending when I called...
