Ok so I LOVE La Casita however I do not go there for breakfast burritos. I go there for the salsa selection, the house made tortillas, and the bean and cheese burrito which is my favorite hangover food. If I order a breakfast burrito I’m getting the potato and bacon. Depending on what you’re looking for, this could be the option for you! Personally, I don’t care if it’s 7AM, if I’m at La casita I’m ordering a bean and cheese.

This question is for the hardworking people that spend their hard earned money to receive a service that would make it a some what enjoyable experience. WHAT HAPPENED TO LA CASITA ON 8TH ST? Did they to normalize mediocrity as their new standard? Is paying attention to detail no longer required? I'm just curious because of my experience tonight. It wasn't the experience that I had hoped for. Actually it made me laugh, I mean Dave Chappell after eating some edibles and watching half baked 🤣. I'm not going to drag this out any further then need be. But I wasn't happy how my food was prepared tonight. I ordered two beef and bean burritos with queso. Something told me to check my order before driving off and what do you know no queso. I told the young man who was working the window that there was no queso on my burritos. His name was Alex and he was very professional and polite! What happened next is what threw me for a loop. He took my bag went back and gave it to an older gentleman that could've been the manager. He then took both my burritos out of the bag unwrapped them and sloppy put queso on both burritos. That's not cool to me. I'm scratching my head why didn't he just give me some queso to put on them myself. Why would he open my burritos and put queso on them? I find that unsanitary. I understand that mistakes happen and under the fast pace pressure of the food service industry they happen more then often. My thing is this always be mindful of sanitation when handling a customer's food. I will not be returning to this location in the future. That's Cray!

I will say that the service was great and the music was fun but this place is a bit old and tired. The food was okay - no major complaints but really more like good adjacent. I did eat it and after a 12 hour drive I’m thankful for food. But, I agree with the majority of the reviews that the tortillas are thick and mine were burned. The guacamole, chips and the queso were the best part of the meal. We ordered 2 beef fajita burritos and 2 bean and cheese burritos with chips and queso and two drinks for $34. About average but I couldn’t drink my drink bc the ice and water smelled like sulfur/ the eggy smell. That was off putting and I could smell it as soon as I poured my drink. That should be looked at for sure. I’ll take it as a way to boost my gut flora. I’m appreciative of the meal but wished it matched the 2500 reviews 4 star rating.

This has been my favorite local place to get a burrito for decades. I stop in two or three times a week. I love it.

However, a few weeks ago I was in to pick up my usual order when I witnessed an unfortunate occurrence. Mind you the amazing staff there has been on point rolling with all of the changes and regulations brought on by the pandemic. They all get FIVE STARS hands down.

As I entered the building an older couple had walked in before me. Come to find out it was the owner Janet Sawyer accompanied by another man who works for her. She was there for a walk through, they inspected some of the restaurant as they walked behind the line to the working side of the register. Her visit was less than ten minutes and the disturbing part was that neither of them could be bothered to properly wear their face masks. Less than ten minutes and it was almost impossible for them to keep their face covered while on the food side of the counter. It saddens me to know that the people who work there day in and day out value their job and are more than grateful to have a job to come to everyday, especially in these hard times. Then to have their boss come in and disregard any rules that have been laid out because they don’t think they apply to them is a perfect display of privilege. I have to be masked to enjoy your food but Ms. Sawyer can pick and choose the rules she follows as my money fills her pockets. It’s yet another display of privilege in this town and it’s disgusting. She...

My dining experience started by being pestered for money as I was walking in the door. A homeless person was just waiting by the front door begging people for money, and he wasn't the friendly type either. He seemed upset when I said no. Pro tip to this business: that is the fastest way for me to never come back again. You should not allow solicitation on your premises.

I thought maybe I could just get the food and not worry about it but I quickly realized that wasn't good either. Mexican food is one of my all time favorites and I've been to at least 50 different Mexican restaurants in multiple states. There food I got from here was at the very bottom of the list. It's the worst Mexican food I've ever had and it's not even close. They brought it out to me about 60 seconds after I ordered it which meant it had already been sitting there for who knows how long. I would rather wait 10-20 minutes for fresh food than be served some lukewarm food that had been sitting out.

The outside appearance of this place didn't make me feel very confident about what I was going into either. It needs a complete overhaul both inside and out. The inside was not very clean and the whole time I was sitting there I kept wondering how this place stays in business. I will not...
