I have been patiently waiting to get the email to writea review! I stayed here for 2 nights. The first night was great! I got in very late and was exhausted. The king size bed all to myself was so comfortable and the room is very nice. Fast forward to my 2nd night stay..... not so great. We were in Columbia for a softball tournament and they played all day so we all got back to the hotel absolutely exhausted and ready to go to bed. Especially since we were playing early the next morning. I walked in the side door since my room was as on the end on the first floor. I immediately felt like I was back in college and the local college bar in the dance room. Terrible music was literally shaking the entire hotel while crouds of people filled the hallway with no masks on. I soon realized there was a very large party going on in a conference room! As I pushed my way to the front desk to see what in the world was going on and how long is this god awful music going to last, the front desk person told me there was nothing he could do about it because they paid good money for that room!! I had a migraine and just wanted to go to bed but they party may as well been going on in my room so that wasn't happening. The people literally were partying in the hallways in front of the door to my room. Not 1 person had a mask on. And let me remind you, there is a sign when you walk in that said "no mask no service!" It all made me feel very uncomfortable. The music went on until 10:30 and people seemed to fill the hallways and still be loud until at least 11. It also seemed like every other room in the hallway was a room block for the party so why on earth would you put me in the middle of that commotion!!?? The next morning I very kindly expressed my frustration to the woman at the front as I was checking out. She proceeded to tell me it was a fashion show going on she would talk to the manager about giving me some sort of refund and of course, no surprise to me, I haven't heard anything from anyway. I guess I will be contacting Marriott and expressing my frustration to them. I will definitely not...
Read moreWe stayed here one night and it's okay. First, it was clean. That's always the most important thing to me. The beds were pretty comfortable. The suite had enough room for us to spread out. We even got food from the Mexican place next door and had plenty of space and table area to eat in the room. We were exhausted from the drive and just didn't feel like eating at the actual restaurant. |The three things that knocked the rating the most were the window, the desk partition, and the bathroom door. The desk partition was loose, I suppose so someone had shoved a piece of cardboard in the track to keep it from moving. However, it just rattled every time someone walked past it. So that was a little annoying, but nothing major. |The next thing is the bathroom door. There is nothing physically wrong with it, but the design isn't great. It is frosted glass which looks fantastic. However, when you are up early for showers and everyone else is sleeping, it does nothing to block the light. Unfortunately, it is right across from the beds so once one of us was up, the rest of us in the beds were up. Our son stayed happily asleep on the pull out couch. Again, structurally, the door worked fine and it was aesthetically nice, but not a great choice.|The worst thing was the window. It wasn't latched all the way and the locking mechanism was bent so there was no way for it to be latched all the way. So it was letting in cold air and noise from sirens going by all night, which wasn't pleasant. |We did tell the desk representative when we checked out, just in case they didn't know about the above. Make sure to check for the sheet for the pull out if you are going to use it and check the number of towels because we didn't have the sheet or enough towels for 4 people. We just went to the desk and they got them for us, but just a heads up. I probably would give this 3.5 stars if I could do halfs on here,...
