I'm from out of state, first time there, and guarantee it will be the last. I waited for a sales associate. She was clearly helping someone else, and I patiently waited. No acknowledgement at all. A simple "I'll be with you when I'm done" or anything. Then, I asked for a price, and I was rudely told that if you need to know a price, you download their app and scan it. Really? You can't put prices on it? Oh, but wait, there's a price check station, but of course it was ripped off the wall. Then, I found a wallet with a "50% off" sign. Nothing else, no mention of their app being a part of it anywhere. I get to the checkout where it rang up full price. I explained where I got it from and was asked if I had some coupon program, which obviously I don't. I was then told that the sale is only good with their app discount program and a downloaded cash coupon type of thing. Again, I've never even heard of this place, nor do I want another app, and nowhere on the sign did it state any stipulations. Nowhere. I am meticulous with reading signs.Everything was overpriced as it was. I worked retail in a supervisor position for over 25 years. If anyone pulled that crap on one of MY customers, they would have been hauled in for a chat. Period. It was ridiculous. I will never go back, and where I'm from, if a sign isn't specific to conditions, it HAD to be sold as posted. Never again. I understand why no one was shopping in there besides 2 other people. I wasted my time for nothing except...
Read moreI'm giving this a one star review based off our horrible costumer service experience with the sales associate named Brandy and the manager that was working. We had found a bedding set that was on a display with a sign that clearly said 3 piece bed set $40 for the queen and $50 for the king with 40% off those prices. On the bedding package it stated it was a 3 piece bedding set. So we were excited we found such a great deal. We make our way to the checkout counter that was in the mens section. The other checkout out counters were busy. We stand there for a few moments and no one was there to greet us. We then figured out Brandy was the cashier for this section. We made eye contact but she continued to act like she didn't work there and fixed her hair over by a few clothing racks instead. So we wait patiently. I guess when she figured out we weren't moving she decided to come over. She never said a word once she got to the counter. Very rude right off the bat. Then an issue with the bed spread came up snd it wasn't ringing up to the correct price. She then told us that she didn't know that she isn't over making the signs....mind you very hateful like. Moral of the story is Brandy at the Columbia Belk doesn't need to work in costumer service. Oh and she just handed the bag to use without saying a word after we got the issue...
Read moreWay beyond overpriced and messy. They were trying to charge 104$ for a simple flannel shirt, and over 120$ for a suit jacket. They also do not put price tags on most of their items (I assume because a small price tag probably couldnât fit all the numbers onto it), which is already shady. If youâre wealthy and donât mind to pay literally 10x the price on clothing, then this place will suit you just fine. I admit that the selection of home goods isnât awful, and they arenât so overpriced like the clothing, but this is negated completely by how apparently understaffed it was (though the employees that were present were very kind), as it was messy and practically in shambles. This is a Kohlâs counterpart, but an inadequate counterpart. Would not...
