This thrift store has decided that it also wants to be a vintage store. They go through almost everything and price anything vintage according to the prices people are asking for things on Ebay, not what things are actually selling for. They have hoarded so much old and vintage that it's piled up behind the checkout and doesn't appear to be selling very well.

When thrift stores start marking up items and acting like vintage shops, they alienate every kind of customer they have. They are telling the needy that they don't deserve the items, the thrifty that this isn't the place to find a deal or treasure, and the reseller that they need to go elsewhere. There is no customer that walks into a thrift store intending to pay full retail or more for an item.

Most of this started when reselling on Ebay became popular and the thrifts saw resellers getting more for their items. At the end of the day however the thrift stores are taking on the costs of listing items, shipping items, etc... Personally, I feel they should be in the turn and burn business, get a decent price for things and move them quickly.

The selection is amazing. However I found myself getting anxious with how tight the rows were together. Claustrophobic people beware, I'm not Claustrophobic but I was feeling it. I also felt like I was being followed by a store person. Everywhere I was they suddenly appeared. I at first thought it was a random person but it became pretty clear overtime that wasn't the case. Maybe because my purse is a backpack, and I look young? I only come to this store when visiting grandparents, so I don't know if this is normal or not. I don't remember it being this Claustrophobic a few years ago. It's not a place I would frequent, but I'll tolerate it...

I have relatives that visit here often looking for vintage clothing and glassware. I've come with them on a few occasions. The store seems to have new items come through on a regular basis, and they are priced very reasonably. They have multiple sales throughout each month on various select categories of items.
