I visited the salon as a walk-in today. I decided to wait although there were several people ahead of me. The goal was high lights and my edges trimmed. After, waiting 45 minutes(in which initially the wait was ok) itās the conversation during the wait caused me to walk out with NO SERVICES. I personally didnāt want any services after that. The young lady in the shop spoke about how professional she is but decided to discuss ALL the young people sheās fired(which is so unprofessional). The conversation was a complete turn off!!! Yes, I asked the difficult questions many probably wouldnāt have.? She basically stated she needs her employees āPERFECTā was the word she used. As, I mentioned to her sheās not perfect and chances are the way she communicates to her employee is probably why they take it offensively. She proceeded to gas light by stating sheās assertive and direct. As, a mother and a person who work with young adults and youth. Life is hard enough with the stigma placed on them. I would HATE for any of my children or any young adult I know to consider working in the hair industry and applying for a job under her management. Sheās definitely in need of some self-reflection and people skill training in difficult situations. Conflict resolution training!!! I walked out. Not angry but truly disappointed and definitely didnāt want her spirits in my hair. She canāt keep employees for a reason and after the conversation today. Sheās probably part of the problem too. Simply on the outside looking in.
So much for a self-care day and relaxing while getting my hair done. Iāll never go back.?
August 24, 2024 Went there today to get shampoo, blow dry, style with curling iron. I specifically stated use curling. Neither the lady or the stylist told me they Don't do curling irons. I have very short hair. I was assigned to stylist Aironnera who did OK with shampooing and blow out, however when it was ready to style she pulled out a flat iron. I told her a flat iron would not work on my hair. I wanted a curling iron style. She then pulled out a very large barrel iron. I have very short hair. I told the iron was too large for my hair and to use a small barrel. She or the other stylist did not have other irons. Then the other stylist she could it just do as with the flat iron so I said OK. Then the stylist did not know how to use the flat iron so the other stylist had to teach her. What a mess when got through She was just going to leave it and I told her no you have to comb it out, then she brought a large Pick to come it. Finally I ended up coming it my self. She charged me $40.00. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought in a woman I care for to get a haircut. Due to me being almost 9 months pregnant and 87 degrees outside, I began putting my hair up in a braid to cool down while waiting for the stylist. A staff member proceeded to tell me I was not allowed to touch (braid) my own hair while in their establishment. I was so shocked I legitimately thought it was a joke, but apparently you're not allowed to touch your own hair in their facility. I also took a phone call and the stylist April, intruded on my call instead of focusing her attention on checking out her client. Additionally, I had to ask April three times to cut the woman's bangs above her eyebrows, which she chalked up to it being the style of hair cut and how it was laying, completely disregarding the cut request. Her bangs are still not above her eyebrows and the back of her hair is lopsided but I literally had to get the heck out of there or a major argument would have ensued. I do not...
