If you’re looking for Latin products beyond Mexican staples, this place probably isn’t for you. I came in hoping to find some Puerto Rican items—specifically Kan Kan (Can Can) pork chops—but had no luck. They had pig’s feet but not something as popular as Kan Kan? That’s not even the biggest issue.
What really threw me off was the vibe. My fiancée, who’s Black American, wasn’t even greeted. It felt like if you’re not Mexican, you’re not really acknowledged. We spoke Spanish as it’s more common in their store, but still got cold, dismissive responses. No hospitality, no effort.
