Immediate no! We walked in and the place is a little overwhelming. They sell Mexican snacks, ice cream, drinks, trinkets etc. And some food selections. Lots of tables, but around 7 p.m. the place was empty. We tried to look for a menu WITH pricing and there was no such thing to be found except the picture menus. We asked how much the empanadas were as we saw reviews were good. They serve cheese, chicken and meat which is ground beef as the man at the register clarified. I asked for price and told me it was an order of 3 empanadas and the price came out to $16 plus tax which is crazy 🤣 we paid with card so there was a small extra .49 cent fee.
We received our order to go and the box felt hot! As soon as we walked out to the car to try and review them, we cut the empanadas in half and to our surprise the inside was was refrigerated and cold inside 👎🏽. Half the cheese was crumbled, we go back immediately to let them know and this lady (maybe owner) as soon as she saw the returned bag- looked annoyed and asked what's wrong with such a disgraceful tone. I sat the bag down and told her the contents were cold inside and she stayed silent. I asked what was going to happen because how do you not respond to that? She caught an attitude and started telling me it's impossible because they don't have frozen empanadas and now I'm here gaslit that this lady who might be the owner had a complete attitude for their carelessness and instead of taking accountability and/or being responsive, she said that she didn't have an attitude and by that time I just wanted my money back. I don't understand how a business owner has such tasteless tone, was disrespectful and threatened that there were cameras meanwhile all I wanted was the order to be made right.
Disappointing and if this is how they handle there mistakes, idk how this place can...
Read moreI tried to give this establishment the benefit of the doubt but I won’t be returning. The first time I came here I walked in and was not greeted by anyone and was ignored at the register.. so I left assuming maybe it was a busy day. However, I do believe people deserve second chances so I came back once more on another day. Once again not greeted the man at the register just stared at me and said “what do you want?” I said “hello” then he finally returned the hi and took my order. I ordered two beef empanadas and two pineapple waters.. which totaled up to almost $30. EXTREMELY PRICY FOR THE QUALITY. The pineapple water lacked flavor (honestly just tasted like regular water) and the empanadas were POURING oil when we bit into them. To the point it was inedible. The cheese was also still cold on the inside. I didn’t take it back to the restaurant because the initial customer service already told me everything I needed to know. I...
Read moreWe wanted to try something new while in Columbia. I had saved this spot in my places to visit in Columbia a while ago. Saturday my son and I were in the area and decided to drive across town to check it out. He got the steak fajita Pineapple and I had a veggie. I had also ordered an Elotes that was delicious. By the time my Pineapple was ready I was already full. It does take a while since they are made to order. My son really enjoyed his and was not able to finish it. I was able to eat from mine several times that evening. We ate inside and the establishment was a bit warm so I guess the air was not working properly. There were some annoying flies that had come inside also. I had to fan the flies for him while he was eating because they were trying to take his dish!! He had one of the deserts and an Aloe Drink. We will definitely be returning to try something else...
