Hyun Dai Oriental Grocery — Local services in Columbia

First time we visited the Hyundai Oriental Grocery store, having relocated from up north late last year, we're just not finding the local oriental grocery stores in the area, and this place was nearby and as my houseguests for the past week were of the Asian persuasion, and wanted to prepare some authentic Asian cuisine for me, we headed over to Hyundai to pick up some provisions. The selection was pretty decent, and contained almost all of the staples they were looking for, and the staff was friendly, helpful & checkout was efficient. The kimchi is very good here, a popular item which almost every customer who was shopping and waiting in line, picked up a container of the home made kimchi. Good little oriental food store. It's located on the corner of a strip mall near the restaurant, Kimchi, you could miss it. It smelled delicious inside. Very good selection of korean chili powder, as well as napa cabbage and daikon for your DIY kimchi ingredients. They also have in house made goods and lunch specials, I bought the kimchi pancakes and cucumber kimchi. They have a good variety of sweets, candies, gummies, Pocky and rice crackers. I get most of my Asian groceries here and I mainly cook Filipino and East Asian dishes. A bit pricey, but that's how it is for specialty items and Asian ingredients around here. They have great fresh vegetables, snacks, and prepared banchans!! Love the fishcake, tofu, and cucumber kimchi here.
