Fresh Fish Market — Local services in Columbia

Ordered the lunch specials. Tilapia, Whiting, Flounder and 10 PC shrimp. As well as Catfish with scallops, fried okra, cold slaw and hush puppies. All food was prepared to order. The seafood was great, the whole family enjoyed their meals. We were impressed with the crinkle fries, we rarely eat fries from seafood restaurants but finished these on the ride back home. 😂

From what I can tell, the owner is a one man show. Very friendly and takes pride in his business.

As we were leaving, a female whom I assume is homeless entered the establishment and ordered a meal. She didn't have money but the owner did not turn her away. 😊

That was enough for me to patronize this established again. Thank you sir for loving on the community. I'm the lady on crutches, we had a good laugh about why I was on them to begin with.

The store is impeccably clean. The gentleman that waited on us was kind, helpful and mannerly. I could not make up my mind whether I wanted flounder or red snapper. He graciously offered to prepare both for me. The fish was FRESH! No muddy taste. Delicately seasoned and fried to perfection. The sides were flavorful and prepared with care. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the plate prepared for me. This is a hidden gem. The next time you want good fish, may I suggest that you give this wonderful little place a try. I love supporting small businesses. Don't count this place out! Awesome market tucked off in the cut. The place is VERY clean and organized. The owner was so kind and very friendly. I came later in the day so the different assortment of fish was put away. He sells fresh fish at reasonable prices. I came in for fresh uncooked fish but since I came so late in the day he was already out. I ended up ordering something cooked to still patronize. The food was hot, fresh and seasoned very well. Parking is on the side/back of the building so you will have to walk around. They are right next door to the Hispanic store....
