The restaurant appears modern and clean. It is nicely appointed, although dark enough that you might wish for a flashlight to read the menu. We traveled quite a distance for my wife to enjoy the basil rolls. We were told that these spring rolls were not available and that they had run out of basil. This was the second time she had been disappointed for the same reason at this restaurant.

I expressed my dissatisfaction to the waitress. She explained that they have only one person that can prepare the basil rolls and they were not there. After she repeated herself about six times, I told her to quit. She botched the operation of the portable payment device and had to get the manager to help. Meanwhile, the waitress forgot about me and my separate check as she went on about her business. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager and questioned what kind of “Basil Thai Cuisine” could possibly run out of Thai basil spring rolls. This is like going to McDonalds and they tell you that they have no hamburgers available. Then they sent another fellow out to have the same pointless discussion and repeat the same sorry story another six or eight times. This guy said he was the kitchen manager. He has failed to adequately manage the kitchen if they cannot offer what should be a signature dish for the restaurant of the same name. Coming up short once is understandable, but repeatedly is ignoring the problem and planning to fail.

I ordered the Pad Thai. Being akin to the “national dish of Thailand”, this is a sure bet at a new, untried restaurant. The noodles and chicken were good. The proportionment was very generous with the chicken. The chicken was in mouthful sized chunks. I would have preferred the chunks to be cut in halves or thirds. There was no evidence of any peanuts in any form: halves, crumbles or butter. Although peanuts are not mandatory for some, they are a necessary flavor for me. The bamboo shoots did add some interest to the texture. The dish was not bad, but it was not good either. It was bland. I have had better for less many times.

We will not return to this restaurant in hopes of a better experience. You should only go there if you want to be disappointed with the food and get an overfill...

My experience at this restaurant was horrible the waiter was great but the food was horrible and the afternoon sup was even worse . The food had zero seasoning and the afternoon supervisor was even worse. When I told him the food was not good he never apologized or tried to make it right. He seemed offended that I said that it wasn’t good the beef salad is what I had and the meat had no seasoning and it was over cooked the meal didn’t make sense. When I go to a restaurant that I have never been I general get 3 to 4 appetizers and entrees to taste so I will know which one to get in the future. I really do love Thai food but I hate bad Thai food and it was bad I got the coconut soap and the broth was delicious but the chicken in it was extremely dry and under seasoned but edible. I would never re visit and going to tell everyone I know about the poor service and food. I was left underwhelmed. The supervisor needs to learn customer service and how to handle customers and not have a I don’t. Care attitude. The score I give to this restaurant is zero and I will post this on other social media sites as well and let all my coworkers come Monday how bad this was. I will see if anyone cares about this restaurant based off how you guys respond to my review and if you care to fix this review. I went back today and Thai basil reached out to me and I came back and tried them again. Brain helped me ensured I had a good food experience and customer service experience. And let me tell you he was amazing and the food was amazing. I would definitely come back again and I’m going to tell everyone I know about the great food and service there. The food was so flavorful . I can pronounce the name of the type of curry I had but it was amazing. I actually plan to go back there this weekend with a few friends and...

When we first arrived we were greeted very warmly. We had reservations. It wasn’t very busy and we visited on Valentine’s Day. Upon retrieval of our reservations we were placed in a far corner of the restaurant, no window, no tv and not even a view of the musician. We were little disappointed after they attempted to place us in a corner of the restaurant within fairly close proximity of the next table. Seeing that it wasn’t that busy and other options for tables were available, we immediately started to feel like this wasn’t going to be a very good experience.

Moving on, they moved us to a much better location. The ambiance seemed good and the managers picked up our table after no server came to get us started. The managers were nice. We ordered 2 beverages and they were fine. We also ordered the fried wontons from the appetizer menu and that was good also. For our main course, I ordered the Pho Duck and my other half ordered the Pad Woo Sen. We were not overjoyed by the flavor of either dish. We’ve eaten Thai on several occasions and duck is my go to. The appetizer and the alcohol were good, but the food was sub par. The managers did manage to win us over with their fabulous customer service. Upon leaving, however, we noticed the greeters handing out roses. Although the roses were not our concern, we were taken that they didn’t even offer us one and we made reservations. This is a place we will not be revisiting. Great customer service, but the food was a little questionable. We gave them 3 stars for...

After being recommended this spot on multiple occasions, we decided to finally stop in but were more than disappointed. Things started out great with friendly service and a relaxing ambiance. We got a beer (Riverrat) and a martini (Sake Peach Blossom) with the fried wontons to start which were all amazing!! Things quickly went downhill when our entrees came out though. I ordered the red curry with chicken and my boyfriend got the pad thai which smelled absolutely awful! My boyfriend and I were so repulsed by the smell of the pad thai that we couldn’t enjoy either dish. The smell closely resembled that of dog or cat food and while my boyfriend said the taste was very different from the smell and better, it was hard to get past the smell. The smell was so overpowering it was hard to enjoy the red curry, but even the red curry was disappointing in that it didn’t even actually taste like curry at all. I wouldn’t say it tasted bad, but when I order curry, one would expect curry. The spices were way off and it was much more soupy than traditional curry tends to be. The portions are okay for the price but the taste isn’t even close to being worth what you pay for it. There are way better thai options in the area, so we most likely won’t ever return but if we do, it’ll be for the drinks and appetizers.

It should frankly be criminal to call what I was served Thai food. Thai is my favorite. I could quite honestly eat it every day and never get tired of it. I ordered the pad kee mao, or more commonly drunken noodle, and even as I was ordering I knew it was going to be less than authentic and probably not amazing. I asked our server what level of hot they make it since I generally like it a touch spicer than the average American. Her response was that they didn't alter spice in the kitchen but there was a jar of spice on the table you could sprinkle to make it hotter. It was this moment I knew I should've noped out. The appetizer came first. It did not contain fish, but tasted exactly like fish. My food came shortly after. What was placed in front of me was nothing like I've ever seen. Why are there egg noodles? This isn't Stroganoff! I paid $80 for lunch. That wasn't for for human consumption if I'm being honest. We got burgers before heading to our movie. Never again. How does this place have great reviews? It should be criminal to label this as Thai food. Basil Thai, you should be ashamed. Your sister location does it right. You've got it all wrong.
