Visiting the area for the day and the reviews said this is the “Best” Mexican spot to eat at. Upon arrival, we noticed that they have moved the establishment down the street and it’s not posted. However, it is not hard to miss as their new location have a big sign. Entering the restaurant it is very nice inside with a couple of murals plenty of TVs and beautiful tile work. Their complimentary salsa is delicious! With a little bit of heat that creeps in after indulging in a few chips. I ordered carnita tacos with cheese and as much as I wanted to be excited, I was disappointed. The corn tortillas had a nasty taste and were super oily. The carnitas on the other hand were delicious! The tacos came paired with rice and beans and that was a bit bland…but nothing a little salt can’t fix. I then took the carnitas from the tacos and dumped it in with the rice and beans and made me a new little dish and it was delicious. My daughter went with the Moctezuma’s Nachos and she really enjoyed it. She couldn’t stop raving on the seasoning of the chicken. Overall, it was ok

First visit... the price for the dips to go were a little too much - the containers were small, the tortillas for the street tacos were very greasy, and the steak was fatty. Overall though, the food was good. The Mexican stew was very flavorful, the beans were good (and I never eat the beans), the rice was good too. The enchiladas were great. The guacamole was really good. We didn't care too much for the chorizo dip. There was a lot of cilantro in everything... it tastes like dish soap to me. The lunch specials look like great deals so, we'll go back to try other options.

We stopped in Friday at lunch and sat at the little bar in the front. We ordered the chorizo queso to start which was pretty good and exactly like it should be. For lunch I had the 3 street tacos. The lengua, pastor and suadero. They were all really good. The weren’t filled to the top and the tortillas were a little too big for the amount of meat you get, but they were tasty. Make sure to ask for the habanero and jalapeño hot salsas. If I’m back in town I would definitely stop back in.

I love the food and the prices. Unfortunately there is a larger issue with paying by credit card at this location. Since my credit card number was stolen 2x on separate occasions and then used to make purchases 2days later after I went here to eat. I had made no other purchases in between the time I was at the restaurant and the fraudulent charges were made.. and the fraudulent charges also were processed on the same day that my credit card purchase from the restaurant went threw at my bank (2days later), this happen on 2 separate occasions and so I canceled my the card and called the manager who told me to call back when he was less busy , he didn't seem to care about the repeat on fraudulent charges.. So I called back again and this time was no different.. he wasn't actually concerned about the situation. Even though it's happened more than once at his location. The first time we spoke I described the employee that processed the card, the second time I asked if the same guy still works there.. he said YES he is still working at our restaurant. This problem hasn't cost me any money either time that it happens since I've disputed the fraudulent charges with my bank. However the inconvenience of canceling my card is worthy of mentioning in a...

My Husband and I was out running errands Saturday, and afterwards, we decided to have lunch at the original Montezuma taqueria restaurant on Beltline. We were regulars at the 2nd location on fort Jackson Blvd, prior to them closing down. Remind you, this was actually our first time trying the original location, thinking that the drinks/food would taste the same as the 2nd location, we were very very disappointed!!!!! We ordered the Moctezumas nachos with both beef and chicken and it tasted nothing like we used to order, and we ordered the house $20 pitcher margarita, omg, the first pitcher was not of the margarita color and taste we're use to. It taste of an peach flavor and weak, we explained that we were not happy and asked about the house margarita that we've ordered at the 2nd closed location, ect. Overall, the margarita was supposed to have been fixed over for us, but the 2nd pitcher was still not right. We will not be returning, and parking is horrible! I guess Coco and Beer, on Northeast side, will be our spot from now on. And also, the salsa was bland, no taste, the other location Sala used to be delicious, overall the 2nd location drinks/food and service, I would give five stars...

I really hate to down rate this restaurant. I've ordered delivery many times and all the time the food was extremely delicious. Sometimes it was cold but that's more on the delivery service than the actual restaurant. This particular time I went in fter lunch. It was steady traffic but not terribly busy as there were several empty tables. The waitress saw me walk in and sit at the bar which is small(3 chairs) and I was the only person there. As I waited for her to take my order several more patrons came in within the span of 23 minutes to which she sat and she took 4 phone orders right in front of me. Finally, another gentleman came in and she helped him. At this point I was annoyed and finally asked if I could be helped. She finally gave me a menu. My concern is she saw me walk in and sit down and knee I hadn't been helped. She intentionally ignored me for 20+ minutes. I didn't order and left. This wS my first and last time going there and I will no longer spend money with this establishment. That being said, the food is delicious. I just hate that the only difference between me and customers who came after me were me being black and they being White and Latino yet I...
