Wish I got the womanās name off her name tag. However, after teaching my Saturday night hot yoga class I ventured over so excited on my birthday to get new stuff for my new place with my husband along with a small return of placemats I purchased at the owings Mills location last night and was rudely spoken to and looked up and down and belittled by an African woman working the register. The oriental woman next to her happily and very effortlessly handled my return but I was shocked at the level of poor customer service I received. I greeted her super nicely, smiled and explained it came in a 4 pack as you can see on my receipt only to be embarrassed and reamed out by this worker. Iām sorry if she had a bad day or what not but I work in the retail field and let me tell you, I deal with a ton of angry customers and never have I ever left anyone any poorer than they arrived! I was a happy and sweet customer doing nothing wrong with a very small matter to handle and she shrugged me off and rolled her eyes with disgust. I even told her āIām sorry for the hassleā š why should I be sorry? š¢ she ruined my entire evening. Hence, the bad reviews and also why I almost didnāt purchase anything I shopped for. My matter was solved by the normal, sweet woman working but man the one African American woman working on 2/3/24 at 815 pm needs to be spoken to about how to be kind to customers because I will absolutely NEVER visit this location ever again. Most homegoods stores have the utmost best customer service etiquette.. pls train your staff...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Home Goods on Friday evening (December 23, 2016) to browse around for furnishing ideas. Coincidentally, I bumped into a beautiful tall red vase, but it was very dusty. I asked an employee if she could wipe it off. She looked at me like I asked her to give it to me for free. She was very unpleasant, but took the vase and asked someone else if they could wipe it off. That employee also very unpleasant, took her finger and wiped around the edge of the vase. She then said, "it's only dust" and gave it back to the first unpleasant employee who returned the vase to me. This was incredulous and I remarked, "Wow, so no one is going to clean this off." The first unpleasant employee simply walked away without a response. When I got to the register, the cashier greeted me with a smile and remarked how lovely the vase was. I then recounted what happened and without hesitation she offered to clean the vase for me. I applauded her for doing her job as ALL Home Goods employees should do. So, kudos to Rayonna Williams you ROCK. If it weren't for you, I would have given this visit a...

I recently visited this store to return a few items and, unfortunately, did not have the receipt. I expected a reasonable explanation of the storeās return policy, but instead, I was met with shocking rudeness from the supervisor on duty.
Rather than handling the situation calmly or professionally, the supervisor was unnecessarily hostile and dismissive from the moment I started explaining my situation. She didnāt try to help, didnāt listen, and instead spoke to me in a condescending tone like I was doing something wrong just for asking a question.
I understand policies are policies, but thereās absolutely no excuse for the disrespectful attitude I received. I left feeling humiliated and frustratedānot because my return,, but because of how poorly I was treated. If this is how management treats customers, I wonāt be returning, and Iāll be encouraging others to avoid...
