We came here to buy a box spring for our bed. As we as we arrived in the bed and mattress Dept, we couldn't find anyone to help us for the fist ten minutes, or so. We even called out for someone to help us, we got no answer. After wondering around and looking looking for anyone that could help us, we finally found a lady(shall remain nameless) having a long quiet conversation with another person that she knew, at they were talking like they knew each other. How she didn't hear us calling for help when she was only about 13 feet away is totally beyond me!
When she finally did get to us, the Macy's employee didn't seem very knowledgeable about the box springs we needed, or about any of the products there. She wasn't sure about any of the sizes or prices, and had to look up ever simple question I asked her on the computer, which took forever. She kept giving me contradictory information about the box springs, which really confused me.
Checking out was another bad experience here, this same lady had difficulty using her computer to check us out, and it took a very long time for her to type out simple words on the keyboard, she had to ask me my personal info several times as she kept making mistakes by pushing the wrong button on the screen that would keep deleting the info I had just given her ... This was just a disaster of a buying experience for us. And it took forever! What should have been a 20 minute deal to buy simple box springs, took over an hour and 20 minutes.
I'm hoping this particular employee was new, because I can totally understand her confusion about box springs, then. My goodness, I even asked her if there was anyone else that could help us, and she said that she was the only person working the area at that time.
I can't recommend this place. I expected a better shopping experience from a department store like Macy's. I won't...
Read moreMacy's what are you doing? I visited this location over the weekend and it was heart-wrenching. The mall was almost completely deserted, only 2 department stores that I could tell. The landscaping outside of Macy's was shameful - it looked like the yards of someone who moved out - weeds growing and the bushes and trees overgrowing into each other. It was a mess outside - grass and weeds growing up through the sidewalk. Well, that was my warning.....but I went in anyway. We noticed immediately that the store wasn't being cooled properly. It was humid and too warm inside. I was shopping in the women's professional wear area, I couldn't find anyone who worked that area. Water bugs (some alive, some dead) were visible on the floor in the clothing areas where the Kasper suits were. There was candy wrappers, pieces of clothing and food crumbles all over the floor - I don't think anyone has vacuumed the floor in days. I still managed to go to the dressing room with a few suits. I found smears of lipstick (or fingernail polish) all over floor and isle of the dressing rooms and dirty hand prints all over the mirrors and walls of the changing room from children waiting around for moms to try on clothes. Does anyone do the janitorial for this store? I will not be returning to this Macy's - I was so shocked to see such filth. Shame on you Macy's for not doing quality checks! I don't see how you can keep your store operational unless management makes some serious changes with the staff who are supposed to be taking care of that store. P.S. Belk Carries a lot of the same clothes I was looking for and they offer air conditioning and clean dressing rooms and clean floors for their customers - guess where I made my $350 purchase after driving to Belk on...
Read moreDonât order online and use the pick up at store option! I will never order online and choose the option to pick up in store. I ordered shoes that were advertised as in stock and available for âtodays pickup.â Got to the store to pickup the shoes and were told that they didnât have them in stock. I walked over to the shoe department and found the exact shoe that I purchased. Spoke to the sweetest lady in shoes and she attempted to help me cancel the order. That step was unsuccessful so she called customer service to assist. Customer service stated that I had to wait until the shoes are sent from the fulfillment center and I can then have the shoes returned. I specifically asked them could I call to have that done and they stated yes. They then explained that there would be a number of days before I receive a refund. That was fine. Today I called the store to do as I was directed and the people in the âat your service departmentâ were awful. You could hear a lady tell the young lady to put me on hold and tell her what I wanted. She placed me on hold for 15+ minutes and came back and you heard the same lady say something to her and she told me to hold on. Then the phone disconnected. I called back and was placed on hold and disconnected 3 times. I then called another department and explained that I simply want to return shoes and the sweet lady Karen said she would walk over to find out what was going on. It was then explained that I would need to come in and place the shoes in my hand then give them back to return them. Ridiculous. The At Your Service department is clearly not at anyoneâs service. They aided in making an already bad...
