I had a blast!! Remembering all of the candies that I used to eat as a kid. Razzles, Mary Jane's, Boston baked beans, candy cigarettes, bazooka gum, swedish fish,etc... I'm still smiling!! Now for the grown up stuff, ugh,lol. I found some great kitchen gadgets ( silicone cast iron pan handle covers, jelly making bags 40% off, pie crust covers). I really enjoyed looking at their extensive array of canned products ( dilly beans, chow chow, strawberry rhubarb jelly,etc) for sale. They also offered a great selection of apparel currently 40-50% off. I saw the cutest pink Yeti cooler and tons of good wholesome toys and games for children. Truly did my heart good to flashback the good ole days and fun times. They even had handmade soaps, salves, and other hard to find items, like oil lanterns and replacement wicks.Theyo gave a military discount which was 15% off the most expensive item that is not on sale. It was well worth the hour drive from Fort Mill. I'll definitely come back to explore and find new treasures again. There's one female employee that always treats me like I'm stealing. She fallows me all around the candy. When I'm shopping she pops out of nowhere telling me something I can get or where there's a bigger bag of something ,she's following me. She's watching me every move ,what I'm doing ,as if like she wants to shop with me or something and won't let me just be me fallows to me the register. There's 10 other ppl in the same area she could offer to help. When I walk in the door and she's behind the register ,she gets overly excited and starts fallowing me with her eyes,as if she can't concentrate on what she's doing. I'm so thankful Jesus knows every tiny secret because I have never stolen one tiny thing from Mast General. I went in to get a frogg Togg the other day when we had rain and she made comments to other staff about me. The 2 men working downstairs in the camping gear area were very nice and sensible. . I've seriously wanted to call corporate about her I'd like to say I don't want to shop there anymore but I really like the Mast General. Maybe I will just stay out of the store maybe other...

I'm a little overdue on this review because I've visited it a few times over the past few years. I think that alot people just don't know how much is offered in this store that is located in the downtown of Columbia SC community. It's conveniently located on main street in Columbia and there is garage and street parking nearby. I usually visit this store whenever I'm visiting other business on Main street or on Saturdays while I might be visiting the Soda City Market.

This store is always clean and well maintained by the very professional staff. Currently the store is operating on limited capacity and within the COVID-19 pandemic precautions. All the staff and customers must wear face masks. The store is 2 floors and has pretty much anything you might need for any outdoor adventures.
