Shvaas Spa Salt Cave & Float Therapy — Local services in Columbia

I organized a bachelorette party to attend the Spa Day Package at $120 each. It included: 45 min salt cave -Everyone started here together which helped set the tone to relax and be quiet(er). A few of us were having some sinus issues and all reported little to no issues after we left the spa.

30 min sauna -Although not my personal favorite (I don’t like to be hot), this was still great. Towels are provided to help soak up your sweat and there are cold towels, water bottles, and spray on deodorant for after.

30 min zen garden -Definitely my favorite part!! It looks like a massage chair, and I suppose that’s what you call it, but it scans your body and really gets into all your muscles. Most people asked for music but received the meditation instead.

15 min hydromassage -A couple of people in my group thought you would get wet here. You don’t! It’s like being pressure washed (but you can control the pressure) from within a bed. This was several people’s favorite!

15 min vibroacoustic cocoon -For this one you lay on a vibrating bed with a weighted blanket and something lightly weighted on your eyes.

There were also snacks, waters, coffees, and teas available at no additional charge. Most services also come with headphones that play meditations or music.

Overall, everyone was VERY pleased. The spa was very accommodating of a couple of people running late. The bride-to-be also received red light therapy, which she compared to sunbathing without getting a tan and said she enjoyed it.

The ONLY reason this is receiving 4 stars is due to a reservation confirmation call I received a few weeks before. The person on the phone asked me if I was going to pay a deposit, and I told her that at the time I initially booked I was told no deposit was necessary. I heard someone in the background who was really fussing at the person I was speaking to, demanding a deposit and saying if anyone didn’t show up, that her whole day would be ruined. The person I was on the phone with was trying to politely relay this to me but I stopped her and said I could hear the other person on she was with, and that I understood that person’s anxiety. I assured her we would pay the full amount for the expected number of people regardless of someone not showing up. She just said Christina would call me back and I didn’t receive a call for a week. I called a few days before the reservation to make sure I wasn’t putting the bride in a hostile environment and the person I spoke with was unaware of the call I’d had prior. She assured me everything was set and they were ready for us.

I recommend updating the reservation process to iron out any deposit issues and no-show penalties. I also recommend a refresher for staff on how to navigate any concerns for upcoming bookings without imbuing the customer with...

Had another incredible experience at Shvaas Spa in the salt cave. I'm loving having a place that provides a get away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Kristina has been very helpful with scheduling to work out things just right. The place is always very clean and there's always a peaceful feeling when you walk through the door. This will always be on my list for a clearing of the mine and pain management. People should try some treatments from here before going to Doctors. Just saying. It's done wonders for me. WE JUST MOVED TO COLUMBIA, SC. IN MAY. I FOUND THE SHVAAS SPA & SALT CAVE, ON "GOOGLE NEAR ME". I TOOK MY ADULT SON WITH ME TO GO CHECK OUT SHVAAS SPA IN DOWNTOWN COLUMBIA. WOW!!! WE HAD A PEACEFUL & HEALING EXPERIENCE. THERE IS SUCH A SERENE FEELING AS YOU WALK IN THE FRONT DOOR OF SHVAAS SPA & SALT CAVE. THE AROMA IN THE AIR, THE LIGHTS, THE WAITING AREA, THE KINDNESS, ALONG WITH THE PROFESSIONALISM OF THE OWNER, KHRISTINA AND HER STAFF. MY SON AND I DECIDED TO TRY A FEW DIFFERENT SPA EXPERIENCES EACH. HOWEVER, WE BOTH WENT TO THE SALT CAVE TOGETHER. I CAN STILL REMEMBER THE FEELING I HAD IN THE SALT CAVE, THE SMELLS, THE LIGHTS, THE SOUNDS, THE PEACEFULNESS I HAD IN THE CAVE, AND FOR A FEW DAYS AFTER. IT WAS AMAZING!!! I ALSO BOUGHT BEAUTIFUL HANDMADE CHAKRA DREAM CATCHERS THE FIRST TIME WE VISITED FOR UNDER $15 . LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, IN SLC UTAH, I COULD BARELY AFFORD ONE SPA TREATMENT. AT SHVAAS SPA & SALT CAVE THE PRICES & PACKAGES ARE SO REASONABLE, THAT I COULD AFFORD 6 SPA TREATMENTS ( 3 FOR MY SON & 3 FOR ME) , AND NOT JUST ONE.
