This is one of the best piercing studios I have visited. I have a nostril piercing from a previous piercer, and have had a not so good experience with it. When I relocated to Ohio I was in desperate need for a professional piercer to receive guidance on my piercing, as I yanked my piercing pretty good earlier this year and had on and off issues since. I found body jewel on a whim and im glad I did. Before receiving any other services, they were very attentive and informative regarding my piercing and after care. I don’t remember the gentleman’s name but I think he has a man bun. He’s super nice, very informative, gentle, quick. Everything needed when nervous about piercing or anything related. This past weekend I gave up trying to fix/keep my 22g nostril piercing. The jewelry and my piercing were no longer compatible , I walked in for the fourth time and was seen initially for a stretch back to 18g. Due to the delicacy of my piercing it wasn’t possible, So I opted to be re-pierced. As someone who hates needles, I felt a quick pinch if that, which was nothing compared to my initial piercing as it was so painful and uncomfortable for weeks even months after. I appreciate how they not only listen to their customers and are attentive even down to noticing I had a opal gem, and proceeded to show me their opal jewellery selection. They always let you know what is best and for me it was to be re-pierced. I’m glad I did I have little to no swelling, no pain, overall great experience so in love with my new piercing and it’s still opal!. So I initially went to piercology to get my 1st nose piercing. After two years I had decided I wanted an L shape earring vs one with and cap on the back unfortunately for me piercology did not have many options so I came here. I don't know alot about piercings outside of the ear lobe so I'm trusting the ppl at these places for help. The 1st time I came in I had a good experience with a young lady however I told her what size gauge I wore expecting for her to give me the correct size which was an 18 gauge. The earring came out and the next day I had to go back and it was a guy there. I thought I had lost my 1st earring so I bought another one and that's when I found out instead of an 18 gauge they was giving me 20. The guy was rough and the customer service was not great. After a few days I noticed the earring was cutting into my nose at the top because it was too small. I found the 1st earring I bought from the nice young lady and went back up there complained to the manager and they changed it out for free. I am leaving this review because I just had to get my nose re pierced due to them selling me the wrong size! Do not go here! They lie and the guy they had working here I believe was a little racist! I got my conch and my rook pierced about 2 months ago and for some reason the piercer failed to put in a long enough bar for swelling. My piercing was not healing properly even with all the aftercare and cleaning. I had 2 massive piercing bumps and my ear hurt so bad. I ended up going to another piercing shop to get a longer bar and when the piercer took out the jewelry that was originally placed from here, she notice that the quality of the metal could very well be causing me all this irritation. The jewelry was changing colors and the bottom of the piercing bar was digging into my skin, not allowing my piercing to heal. After switching my jewelry out at a different place, the swelling and piercing bumps instantly went down, and so did the pain. I will post pictures of how it was healing when I got it done from here and the new bar that was placed from a different piercing shop. I spent a lot of money getting my piercing done at this shop for the quality of jewelry and the sizing to be incorrect for healing.
