What can I say about this place? Well not very many good things, but let’s start there. I needed my dad’s Seiko watch repaired as a gift to him, and this place came recommended. The job they did on the watch seems, at least so far, to be good quality. That’s where the good ends though. I dropped the watch off about 2 weeks before Christmas. Given the holiday, I didn’t expect the watch to be finished before Christmas. I wasn’t in a rush though. What I didn’t expect is how long this would take. If I could say what disappointed me with this shop, it would be 2 things: they are slow, and their communication sucks. I didn’t get the watch back until today at the end of February. Nearly 2 months to fix the watch. The bigger issue though is communication. I never got an update from them at all. I called after the new year for an update and they hadn’t even looked at the watch yet. A week later, I called for an update and was told what was wrong. Ok I agreed to the repair and asked how long it would take. I was told a couple of weeks. 2 weeks later I heard nothing so called them. I was told the same thing: what was wrong and it would be ready in 2 weeks. 2 weeks go by and I hear nothing so I call again, rinse and repeat. Finally I called this week and was told it was done. I then went to pick up the watch, and they couldn’t find it. I was standing there for nearly 20 min while they tried to find that watch. Unsuspecting little gem in the old north! I drove by this place hundreds of times without knowing what it was. Was recommended by a jeweler friend and was shocked it was so close to my neighborhood. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and they helped me find a few items I needed when I was in a pickle (ha) and couldn’t wait for delivery from someone else. Really lucky to have this here!!...

This place is great! In business for decades and decades a true bastion of the high service, high knowledge family owned business. It's kind of like walking back in time in a good way The people are great and the prices are very competitive with what you can find online only by going here you can actually see and hold when you're about to purchase.
