Sports Additions — Local services in Columbus

If I could give negative stars I would. I bought my daughter a pair of air Jordans for her birthday. I was unaware they knowingly ran big so after she tried them on we decided to exchange because they were so big they fell off her feet when she would walk. This was all she wanted for her birthday & I worked hard to buy her these shoes. Saturday 4/15 in the afternoon we visited Sports Addition to exchange & buy myself a pair of shoes. The manager stopped me to inspect the shoes I was returning as we were walking back to pick out a new pair. He very rudely told me the shoes do not lie and these were unsellable. I told him they had been wore once when trying on inside our home & he again told me the shoes don't lie. I asked for corporates number & while I was waiting his staff all approached me with him still present. My 9yo was so scared she was crying because I had 4 or 5 people yelling at me. The biggest thing for me is that the thin girl with pigtail braids & glasses told me I might need to sweep my floor. I tried addressing this but the manager said nothing & it just went sideways all around. As I was walking out after I got corporates number these women all yelled at me & my 9yo to get out of their store like they were kicking me out. As someone who has worked in customer service my entire life this was the worst retail experience I have EVER had. For a manager to allow the behavior he did is a disgrace. Yes, I was an upset customer but instead of de escalating the situation his team hyped it up which goes totally against anything I have ever learned.

With that being said the manager who worked when I bought the shoes was funny & very presentable. I am assuming he is in a higher position in management & I hope this situation reaches him.
