I'm writing this review in behalf of my wife, who stopped here to have a color done. This is my first review I have written regarding a negative experience. If I could give this salon negative stars I would. My wife went in to touch up her ombrƩ and to bring her highlights up higher closer to the root. The store manager Cole gave her the worst highlights she has ever received. He left her roots completely black and the color was completely orange and brassy, when she had requested blonde. There were demarcation lines throughout her hair. When she asked about them he stated they would fade and that she should buy a special toning shampoo, a total upsell to cover his terrible work. After a day her hair was so bad she had to wear a hat to hide the terrible job Cole had done. She called and went in to get it fixed, another employee toned her hair, it was better for about a day before going back to the ugly orange and brassy color. She called and spoke with Cole, he said he could take her in and fix it, after this her hair was even worse! This was after her third visit if you're counting. She asked him if he could fix the work he had just done, and he stated he did not have time and that she would have to make another appointment later in the week. She went to another salon in Tuscaloosa called New Creations where she had to sit in the chair for 6 hours to fix the damage Ulta had done. The total cost of this was $300 and 2 inches of hair. After calling corporate and asking for compensation all they could do was offer a $30 gift card to Ulta...shocker. She is very disappointed with this store and Ulta corporate due to their negligence and unwillingness to make things right. They are also very unaware of who they hire and who is representing their brand, for someone to be in a managerial position and ruin a customers hair is ridiculous. If anyone is thinking of going to this salon I would suggest driving the extra hour to go to a real salon in Tuscaloosa that has professional stylists. It is well worth the drive because you will end up spending more to fix the mess the stylists at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get your hair done by Holly at the salon. It was legitimately the worst experience of my entire life. She spent the beginning of the appointment complaining about how a different customer complained about her (that should have been my first red flag). Then she tried to trim my layered curly hair dry? I told her no, please do it after the color and wash. Then she put the dye in my hair and it was so dry it was like she put hair gel in my hair... then she started trying to comb the dye through my hair but it was so dry and tangled it was painful. She also spoke about politics unprecedented, not professional. She then washed my hair out and offered a conditioning treatment, which is nice, but I sat in the chair so long I hurt my tailbone and have been to the doctor for it itās so bad. The worst part was while washing my hair out I was having breakage, which is typical for me with my curly hair and chemicals in you hair will cause some breakage and she literally spent like 10 minutes talking about how awful my breakage was and saying she didnāt want to scare me, she didnāt even want show me my breakage because it would scare me. Like... gee thanks for making feel horrible about my hair. I skipped on the blowout (my favorite part of getting my hair done) just so I could get away from her. I went home crying. The only reason thereās a second star is because 3 managers offered their apologies and I got a refund the next day, and can redeem a free blowout at some point. I love Ulta and the managers who I spoke with were very nice, Iāll probablt give them another chance when they get new stylists in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo this is the second thing I have gotten done at this salon.. The first was a cut and color... I have light brown hair and I wanted dark brown.. after 4 hours in the salon I came out with BRIGHT RED and very crooked layers... I will NEVER get a legit service done here again. Oh by the way it was around $130. So today I was looking for a good shampoo/ conditioner combination so I opted for what I thought would be a wash and deep conditioning treatment to try out the shampoo before I got them.. but when you get a dee conditioner it means they use regular condition and let it just sit on your head for a few minutes with a cap.. No dryer no thicker hair mask, just conditioner. Since I didnāt get a cut or anything my hair wasnāt even shampooed first. So I just payed 20 dollars for someone to condition my hair, which I will go home and rewash because my hair looks very greasy.... Iām super unpleased, with the services I have...
